"Honest San Diegan review. I eat taco shop Mex 2-3 days a week. I ordered a bean n cheese burrito and a carne asada taco, cause if you can't make those you shouldn't do Mexican food! Carne taco tortillas were not good, the taco would be great with good corn tortillas. The carne was great with good flavor and the guac and Fresca was fresh. Burrito was good, tortilla was cooked great, beans has a nice original flavor and the cheese was good. Hot sauce has decent bite but needs a little body to give it a little more flavor. For this area it's a 9.5 for SD it's a 7. If the corn tortillas were better the score would be way higher. Oh the Jamaica was good too! Look up El Napalito in Encinitas and see if you can source your tortillas from them. Or make them fresh daily!You'll be stoked."

The tacos were very sub par, lacking flavor and as a foodie and former restaurant owner I could tell the brisket and steak were hours upon hours old, the shell was falling apart and there was no red or green sauce and 1 lime for 3 tacos. Overall poor experience and I can not recommend."

"I love Qdoba, they perfectly combine the concept of "fast food" and "fine dining" together, people often say it's "quick mexican" which makes it sound poorly done and cheap, however it is on par with places like Cafe Rio and Chiptole, the portions are very large, and the way they handle toppings sets it apart from Cafe Rio, which more or less requires careful slow eating with cutlery since the sauce will be often placed all over the top of the burrito and it makes it impossible to hold in your hands, even if you don't get it in that enchilada style it will still run out all over you, Qdoba allows you to just hold and eat the burrito which can be nice, the food is delicious, and they gave us two free chocolate brownies for taking extra time with the order (they ran out of tortillas which was totally okay with me), thank you Qdoba employees!"

The buns were so completely wet, if you have ever had wet bread and I mean soaked through wet bread it is completely uneatable. I ordered Turkey and was served the most thinly sliced lunch mean- the kind you can buy for $1.50 a package in the grocery store, not BBQ turkey, the brisket was tough and I had to spit it out it couldn't be chewed. This was honestly a complete waste of $100, there was not one edible bite of meat. Not to mention they didn't provide BBQ sauce but 1 container- so there was nothing include to even mask the taste of the old, hard, tough, weird, cheap lunchmeat. This is the first review I have ever written in my life. But this was honestly so horrible I felt compelled. "
