"Food arrived fast, hot, and fresh. R-3. Basil Fried Rice was very flavorful! We ordered 3/5 spicy, it was spicier than we expected which was a pleasant surprise. I do wish there were more vegetables and basil mixed in, but with with the price of goods going up, I don't blame them for that. Plus we ordered fried rice, so we got what we ordered. S-1. Tom Yum Goong / Shrimp was the best of the Tom Yum soups I've had in Kingsport, but still nothing like the Tom Yum soups I've had in other parts of the US. I'm used to a clear, briny broth that has a sharp lime/lemongrass flavor with a hot, spicy clean burn that clears the sinuses. This region seems to favor a creamier, more salty broth that still has hints of lime, lemongrass, and spice, but it reminds me more of Tom Kha soup. And yet... somehow is not quite that either. All restaurants cater to the regional tastebuds they serve, so I can't dock anyone for that. That's just good business.
Either way, solid Thai restaurant for the area. We would love to go back again and try more of their dishes. There is a chicken/pineapple dish that looks especially tasty!"
