"First time ordering from this place after hearing about it from a friend. It's so much cheaper and much more affordable than a lot of the other build your own personal hot pot restaurants. Honestly, it's a steal. They have a wider variety of soup bases to choose from as well. I got the signature spicy broth and it has so much flavor that no dipping sauce was even needed. I have never in my life decided to eat with both hands, but today I had a spoon in my left and chopsticks in my right. The Orange Chicken 陈皮鸡 and the Lao Gan Ma Chicken Fried Noodles 老干妈鸡肉炒面🌶 were too friggen tasty.
I got my hand popped by my mum-I'm not even kidding- while trying to taste the Shrimp Fried Rice 虾炒饭 because she was practically inhaling it, despite having whined about wanting Noodles for 20mins before we ordered from here.
I had to pester her to at least sample the other dishes.

was undercooked, showed red/pink on the liver pieces and tasted extremely bloody and bitter for some reason. We had to microwave it for an extra minute to make it barely edible.
Fried Sweet & Sour Pork 锅包肉 was supposed to be their signature dish, yet breading was all clumpy, starchy, sticky and soggy when arrived (which was shortly after driver picked up the dish ~10min) and meat was tough.
As a northeasterner, I am deeply saddened and disappointed to have such high expectations of this restaurant as we rarely have decent northern food in US, and 2 of my friends recommended) and realized the restaurant failed so miserably. With such quality of food, I don't know how they even exist till this day as a restaurant featuring northeastern food."
