"Avilas Lake Forest food has been stellar since they tented for termites and had drain pipes worked on.
I waited a few months until they were done. Now the food is seriously better than it has ever been. I'm a longtime Newport and Costa Mesa Avilas fan and right now Avilas Lake Forest is #1! The chips are consistently fresh and fried perfectly. Salsas are fresh! My Fresco Burrito the last 3 weeks is perfection and tried my kids Quesadilla Avila and the cheese is best in the world! "I ordered an extravagant meal for myself because it was a crazy week and my kids were eating with friends so I could afford to. Skirt steak and lobster with rice and beans. They were apparently out of the skirt steak so instead they sent a stunningly generous amount of lobster, 3 juicy shelled crab claws and corn on the cob to make up for it. The lobster and crab were perfectly cooked, the drawn butter had an amazing but not overpowering heat, the corn was buttered, seasoned and delicious and I completely forgot the skirt steak was even supposed to be there. I feel lucky it wasn't. Way to go Todos Santos! Gracias! "

"Mixed thoughts on this place. The food was hit and miss, but the vibe in the restaurant was lacking. Service was slow, inattentive and not very friendly.
I enjoyed the breakfast burger with tator tots. The wings? Not so much. They all had awkward, chunky sticks of wood in them, making them awkward to eat. I never understood why vegan places try to mimic that, I’d rather just have boneless “wings.” Here, I felt like half of each wing was just wood.
I had no idea they had an app. It turns out that the food is much cheaper to order in the app. Usually Google shows business preferred methods to order, but they didn’t here. I thought my order was pricey, only to find out the prices in house and in app are MUCH cheaper.
There was a huge fan blowing across the place, probably because there’s no A/C? I definitely wouldn’t want to spend much time here in the summer. A few of us ordered ahead and had to wait a while in the muggy lobby. The staff didn't pay much attention to two of us waiting at the counter.
4 stars for vegan food, but really 3/5 overall."
