"I've ordered from here so many times over the last 3 or 4 years, from different locations, and literally almost every time they don't put the pomegranate molasses sauce (the thing that makes it different from similar restaurants) on the wrap. I always order it on the side because of this, and sometimes they forget that too, even with me adding an order note asking them to please not forget it in the wrap, or on the side. Tonight's Shawarma Mix wraps didn't have the pomegranate sauce OR the garlic sauce (which they've forgotten once before). Those are listed ingredients, not extras. The meat was dry and chewy tonight, and the moisture in the wrap came from watery lettuce and tomatoes...some water dripped out of the wrap when I first picked it up. You can see in the photo that there's no sauce, a few limp wisps of lettuce, and about two pieces each of turnip and tomato. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I've finally had enough. How is it so difficult to put the same 5 ingredients in a wrap? I understand a place having an off night, but almost every single time?? I'm sadly not surprised their rating isn't very good because I'm sure I'm not the only one having this experience."

The bed of rice was perfectly cooked, with a buttery hint for flavour. There were very generous portions of lamb and chicken, seasoned generously and incredibly succulent.
I topped mine off with the white sauce and the hot sauce, which perfectly complemented the meats. "Tried this place out after my usual halal place suffered a deterioration in quality. Shah's is a top-tier restaurant not only by halal standards but for cuisine in general. "This place is the real deal for shawarma, as the meat and pickles were very authentic and succulent. I'm not sure what style or the origin country of the owners/cooks of this place, but instead of a "burrito-like" wrap, the Mix Shawarma comes stuffed in a sort of pocket pita with Lebanese-style pickled radish and hummus. So delicious and stuffed full of meat and flavor! The Hummus was also on point and the Falafel Pieces were fluffy and well-seasoned. Everything was yummy, but the only downfall is the packaging. The Tabooli Salad was in one of those snap together boxes that are not made for liquidey type food. Because of this, they wrapped it in its own plastic bag due to leaking of the salad. But still do try it, as it is very good. I really enjoyed the Mix Shawarma that has both chicken and lamb. For the prices, you get a good amount, and it's cheap compared to in-town prices. The restaurant is in the Middle Eastern area on Lawrence St. East of DVP (Scarborough?), so I'm sure you're getting something the Middle Eastern folks are probably eating themselves."
