Salted Caramel has been our best-selling flavor since day one. We make it with cajeta, the Mexican goat milk version of dulce de leche. Reducing goat milk with sugar makes it tangy, sweet, and rich. That means that this flavor has a double dose of goat, making it absolutely irresistible. This is the perfect introduction to our line of gelati, as it showcases the beauty of goat milk.
Rose Petal was one of the first flavors we made on Carmine Street, and one with which we feel an extra special connection. We love how the gentle fragrance of the flower can ease stress and elevate the spirit- everything that a gelato should do. Oh yeah, and goats love roses too!
Vanilla, or as we say, Baah-nilla!, is anything but plain. We use whole Mexican vanilla beans for our version of this classic. Vanilla originated in Mexico, where it was highly prized by Aztecs for its flavor. We went back to vanilla's origins for its sweet and spicy notes that blend perfectly with our creamy goat milk.
Chocolate Victory was our first chocolate flavor ever. We make it using two different chocolates; cocoa powder and Mexican stone-ground chocolate. The former gives it the richness that chocolate lovers will appreciate, and the latter is for an extra touch of texture and added layer of flavor.
Honey and lavender are two flavors that fit together so perfectly. We use wildflower honey from Tremblay apiaries in Van Etten, NY and local lavender to create this velvety, floral winner. This flavor is the month of June on a spoon.
