It's unlike any other cheesecake I've had. My spoon slid into it as if I were eating ice cream. It's the perfect texture and the fact that this style of cheesecake has no crust is like a dream come true. It's sweet, but just the right amount. The Southern Style Banana Pudding was packed with flavor and as soon as I opened it, the whole dining room smelled like banana candy. It is served in a jar where all the layers are visible so when I eat it, I know I'm getting a little bit of each. I was surprised with a piece of fruit here and there and it was not cloyingly sweet. Then there's the Artisan Mascarpone Tiramisu... This one is so dangerously delicious that I was planning on eating 1/2 of it and lost control. I felt disappointed that it was all gone but only because I wanted more. . Its container is squared and clear. I can see how every lady finger is soaked in espresso and covered by a heavenly creamy mascarpone that is just the right amount of sweet. It is delicately layered and its top is then covered completely with cocoa powder. I'd say this tiramisu is worth gaining weight for but that's what I'm trying not to do. As a compromise, I just enjoy it weekly. Safe to say La Petite Crème has a loyal customer here. I'm not exaggerating when I say all 3 picture-worthy desserts have made me close my eyes while I sigh. "I ordered the house 18. House Special Sampler and the peach Peach Cream as my beverage. It was interesting how they packaged the food, with several large pieces of injera on top, completely covering the food, instead of neatly rolled separately as pictured in some of their pictures. I did have to remove it and put it to the side in order to actually get to the main food. Otherwise, I would've had to eat most of the injera on its own, before being able to actually eat the food. The injera itself had an interesting taste to it, and not in a positive way. It was tasteless and yet also had that aforementioned taste. The 18. House Special Sampler I found to be rather bland, and the potatoes and cabbage were huge chunks. The potatoes didn't seem to be fully cooked as it had some hard parts to it. The only one that seemed to have some kind of flavor to it was the alicha. While it was my first time trying this, it just wasn't for me. Thus, I doubt that I'll order again."
