But let me tell you about the mumbo sauce—it was absolutely amazing! Sweet, tangy, and just the right amount of kick, it tied the whole meal together. "the sesame chicken was okay. it's a hole in the wall version of an Americanized Chinese dish, so you can't really expect that much from it. but it was basically over sweet with no noticeable sesame flavor. the pepper steak was bland, the steak was mushy and had no texture, and had very little meat. that doesn't generally bother me, but considering what they were charging for the dish I really expected more. the fried rice was absolutely horrible. it was exactly that. rice that had been fried. if You're expecting egg, vegetables, seasoning of any sort, forget about it. you don't get that. it's just a vaguely Brown pile of mushy rice with nothing much to recommend it. the best part of the meal, quite frankly was the egg rolls, which were nicely crispy and had a good filling. but they were extremely greasy.

"Absolutely delicious! We like other Peter Chang-owned restaurants and this one is great, too! The Homestyle Stir-Fried Pork Belly was amazing - tender, beautifully spiced and a generous portion. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp were addictive - well seasoned (but not spicy at all) and cooked perfectly. They'd make a great appetizer shared among several people. They were so delicious that my 11 year old stole some even though she's usually quite picky. She also really enjoyed her Combo Lo Mein. The Sweet and Sour Chicken Slices were also great. Very flavorful with a perfect balance of sweetness. The Dry-Fried Eggplant was very tasty - crispy even though it had to travel here from the restaurant and well seasoned. The only slight let down was the golden mountain Golden Mountain Beef. We've had the Golden Mountain Chicken at other PC restaurants and it works better as chicken. The texture of some, but not all, of the pieces of the beef was stringy and a little dry. Over all it was a wonderful meal and we will order again!"
