The chicken fried steak was really small compared to the pictures, and it had quite a bit of gristle. Could have just been a bad cut/bad luck. Overall the meal was great. Ok-the pie. I really expected top notch bc of ratings and southern food... but the pecan pie tasted so salty it was as if someone dumped salt over the top. Couldn't eat it. I'll still order here again when I'm back in town. I just won't order the pecan pie for sure. I'll re try the CFS to see if it was just bad luck on the cut, though because the taste was good on the "good" bites."

The outer shell is supposed to crisp/crunchy, with the inner part fluffy. Also, they are not supposed to be covered head to toe in whatever topping is ordered (which is probably why they are not cooked properly).
