"If you like spicy chicken sandwiches then you have found the holy grail. Incredibly juicy chicken breast with the perfect amount of breading. Not over breaded like Popeyes and not under breaded like Chic-Fil-a.
The spice level is subjective, I usually opt for hot but if I want some heat I will go with extra hot. If you have a lower tolerance, go with medium and below.
French fries are solid too, shake shack style crinkle-cut but with better seasoning and a bit more crispy. Dip the fries or the sandwich in "Dave's Special Sauce" if you want to help cool things down and it tastes good too.
If it's your first time, I recommend going in person as the wait with DD will probably have the food soggy by the time it hits your doorstep and leave a bad first impression. The take-out containers are not vented so all the moisture given off from the hot food gets trapped. Don't be surprised if you get there and see a line out the door! That's normal and it moves fast. "

"The Island Chick is the BEST hot chicken sandwich. Ignore the older reviews. The slaw, sauce and pickles go perfectly with the seasoned chicken (breaded and spiced perfectly). It's not overwhelming, the spice- the right kick. Mac N Cheese has a Smokey taste that is unique and very good. Potato Salad could maybe use slightly less mayo mixture but thats minor. There was more than one inch of brown sludge covering the bottom of the pan. The eggs were way over cooked as you see in the green slime inside them. The potatoes were close to raw. The crab was so meager in meat that I thought it had been playing in the world cup. The two pieces of small corn were okay. The three pieces of shrimp at the bottom of the sludge were smaller than I could see in the frozen section of some shelf in Kroger's. The final cost was just over $70.00. Of the 8 pounds of weight. I threw out 7 pounds of unedible waste. A piece of this mess fell on the floor when I was trying to find some crab meat and even my dogs walked away. I hope to see this address on Woodward with a new owner's name on it very soon. This is an awful rip-off. Next time, it's back to the Red Sea in Dearborn. Oh, and wait ! Sausage? Nope, it was not there. "

"I got a double Krave Burger w cheese. It was made very well, I've gotten this multiple times. The wonderful thing about ordering from this establishment is that 1st it's halal, 2nd it's always hot, 3rd the portion size is well worth the price, and 4th it's always made very well. The burgers are made awesome for the price, great amount of seasoning and flavor and the edges on the meat are cooked great as well. I'm pretty sure they toasted and buttered the buns as well, my big back taste buds noticed that. The give you a very generous amount of sauce but those buns do not get soggy. The fries, unfortunately were a bit soggy. HOWEVER, that's because I door dashed the food . The fries were still hot, and I can tell they had a great crisp to them as well as a good amount of seasoning before the humidity turned into slight condensation. The fries were still great however if you're getting your food delivered I'd recommend them well done, or their onion rings. The onion rings are equally good. Ahhh yes, and the sauce!
