The portion size of the Scallion Pancake and General Gau's Chicken seemed too small for the amount I paid compared to other local Chinese food places. Especially the General Gau's Chicken seemed too small. It also didn't come with any extra sauce. I'm used to, and prefer, when they plate the General Gau's Chicken in it's own container smothered in sauce and broccoli, and put a small white rice box on the side to mix into the chicken yourself . I can’t say this ramen was as good as the ones I’ve had in Japan, but it was definitely a solid dinner and better than other places around here. The portion size was good for the (non up-charge) price of $14.95. The broth was thick, flavorful, and properly spicy. The chashu had a beautiful smoky flavor. It was slightly dry but not enough to knock off a star. The noodles were plentiful and not mushy.
