"WOW, ok I ordered between 3-4pm on friday. whoever was doing the cooking - (high FIVE). I ordered plate. mushroom chicken, terryaki chicken, mixed 1/2 rice and 1/2 chow mein. Mushroom chicken it was perfect. it was hot (temp) the vegetables just right and chicken very tender and I actually taste the sesame. The terryaki chicken - ok I was disappointed they left out some terryaki sause BUT the chicken was so tender and flavorful - why I still gave a 5 star. The rice and chow mein was really fresh. who ever was at the Grill - Kudos, it was delicious! Did I get lucky and order just when everything was just made? idk BUT even my driver got here quickly and was so kind. "I was so excited that there was a 24hr place to get food in Manteca and I love burritos so I was willing to pay the exorbitant cost of $22 for a "Super Burrito", but I was highly disappointed. The Super Burrito was supposed to come with choice of meat (I chose marinated pork), rice, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream and cheese... and I even paid for extra cheese. However, I received a Super Burrito with nothing more than rice and meat. I was so shocked that everything was missing that I sliced the burrito in pieces just to check if the missing ingredients were further down in the burrito and just poorly distributed, but it was only meat and rice all the way through. I also paid extra for a side of nacho cheese and I asked for a side of their red and green hot sauces so I could try both but I didn't get any of that either. The woman that helped me went as far as to say, "I put your cheese and hot sauces in the bag", so I didn't feel the need to hold up the drive through and check before leaving. There was a ton of meat but I prefer quality over quantity and so I didn't even eat 1/4 of it. It's bad enough that they forgot the regular cheese, the extra cheese, the guacamole, sour cream and beans and the extra stuff I paid for (how in the heck does that happen?), but the meat was sooo dry that it was almost inedible. Even the tortilla was so dry it was cracking and breaking off and it was hard to bite through (see my pics). I tried to call and complain but this location conveniently has no phone number listed. The burrito ended up in my garbage can and needless to say I wouldn't risk wasting my money giving them a 2nd chance. I'd go to Taco Bell before this place... save your money."

"We just moved from Tracy to Manteca and we didn't want to drive to Tracy just to have sushi, so we were on the hunt for a local place to become our new favorite. We went to Matsu Sushi first because it seemed to have the best reviews and the type of special sushi rolls we like to get and I was not disappointed. We ordered the 5. Philadelphia Experiment and a roll with soft shell crab tempura inside and eel sauce that I forgot the name of... both were delicious. The fish smelled fresh (no fishy smell) and tasted clean too. We dined in but arrived around 5-10 minutes before 2:00 and told the server (may have also been the owner or manager) that we just wanted to start with the 2 rolls and our drinks but were told that if we wanted anything else we would have to order it at that time because they were taking last orders to prepare for closing at 2:30 until dinner. We felt a bit rushed at that point (but it ended up being plenty of time for the two of us to eat 2 rolls) and customers who arrived around 2:15 were turned away. At the very least, I think they could have offered that customer the option of ordering "to go", but they didn't even get the opportunity to say whether they wanted take out or dine in. I feel it would be better just to say you close at 2:00 and plan on 30 minutes to close out customers and lock up rather than saying you close at 2:30 when you actually stop taking orders before that. We usually like the option to order additional rolls when we eat sushi because it's hard to know how filling it will be if you haven't eaten there before and sushi does not make good leftovers if you over order, but it's not a big deal now that I know when they stop taking orders...I just won't go there after 1:30 for lunch. However, I can see this being frustrating for customers who get turned away or rushed through a meal, so I thought I'd mention it. The service was quick though and the rolls were tight and held up to dipping into soy with chopsticks without falling apart and losing half the rice. I've returned twice by myself, once for dine in and once for takeout, because I kept craving the 5. Philadelphia Experiment since my husband got the lions share of it the first time. It's a Philadelphia Roll (salmon, cream cheese, cucumber) that is tempura'd and deep fried, then topped with spicy tuna. All of the ingredients are raw and cold aside from the tempura coating which was warm enough to just slightly soften the cream cheese and make the bite have an addictive creaminess. I really loved all the different textures in this roll. I will warn against getting any rolls with tempura for take out or delivery though and recommend dine in for those. I only live 8 minutes away and arrived for pickup before my order was even complete and it still lost the crisp texture on the tempura and the tempura wasn't warm anymore so I learned my lesson, but I can't fault a restaurant for that. I even went as far as to open the plastic take out lid (it wasn't vented) so steam could escape in an attempt preserve the texture, which I'm sure helped a lot, but it wasn't enough. Dining in has cheaper prices anyway, so it's worth it if you like the tempura rolls or even regular tempura shrimp and veggies. I'm looking forward to returning again with my husband and trying something new next time. It's a place I will definitely recommend to family and friends if I don't take them there myself and I'm happy to have found quality sushi locally."

"Rolls are really heavy on the rice. They come out looking incredibly huge but it's 60% rice. The rice ends up becoming a foundation for the roll to sit upon.
Aside from having a ton of sauce on everything, there's no variation to flavor or structure.
Shrimp tempura inside is hard and chewy and tastes a lot like the Kirkland frozen Shrimp Tempura. Like it's not even from JFC's frozen lineup, which is pretty good for frozen. The unagi on top of the Large Dragon and Millionaire rolls were very little. It's missing the fluffy charred meat that the best part of having unagi. Then the tuna on the Princess roll was only on half of the roll with an uneven cut compared to the unagi next to it.
It's definitely American-style. But rather expensive for huge rolls of rice.
There is nothing wrong with the *quality* of the ingredients themselves (except for the tempura shrimp). It is simply the construction of the rolls themselves are lacking in variation and needs less rice."
