"The Homemade Chili was the best restaurant chili I've ever had, hands down. It actually does taste homemade! Lots of beans and wonderfully seasoned meat with just the right amount of tomato. Caution: Might be too spicy for some palates, but as a spicy food lover, I find it has the perfect level of heat.
The Bananas Foster Cake was equally delicious. Comes with yummy caramel on the side to drizzle over it. The cake has a delicious banana flavor and it is nice & light and very moist.
Husband had Fish N' Chips and he really enjoyed the flounder. (Flounder is one of his preferred fried fish choices, so he appreciates that's the fish they serve in this meal, and not whitefish like many others.) He also thought the Cole slaw was good, even though the appearance threw him at first. They mince the cabbage *very* finely, and neither of us had ever seen slaw that looks like that. He had to take a bite to identify what it was. But, as they say, don't judge a book by its cover because the taste was fine. Unfortunately, the fries didn't travel well so they weren't the best. I don't hold that against the restaurant though, because we live 11 miles away and rhat's a long trip for french fries. Someone closer would most definitely have a better outcome with the fries. "

"The mashed potatoes were extremely bland, dry and awful; the fries weren't awful; they were crispy but under-seasoned. The gravy was meh.. Not great but not awful. The Country Fried Steak itself, was good, but could have been better.
The loaded hashbrown casserole, I think, was the only things I very much, enjoyed. It had good flavor and tasted really nicely done. But sadly, everything else was awful.
The mashed potatoes, like I said, were dry, bland and honestly tasted old and not fresh at all.
Ultimately, super disappointed. I used to really enjoy cracker barrel, but it seems the food quality isn't very good. For $20 a meal, I expected better. I couldn't really tolerate what I ate, and my father wasn't too thrilled with his, either. (We got the same thing, except he got a loaded baked potato instead of the hashbrown casserole)

"I ordered Pork Chop 'N' Gravy Biscuit and 2 sausage gravies for another time with a chocolate Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shake™. It was hot and tasty. Shake had whippedcream on top which gave additional flavor. Looking forward to buscuit gravy tomorrow and will add sliced tomatoes to top it off with lots of pepper."
"Chicken, fries and coleslaw was room temperature hot wasnt hot and cold food wasnt cold. Very disappointing. Was surprised how little coleslaw and even fries. 3 of the 5 tenders were the size of my little finger. I have purchased just tenders before and they werent that small."
