"I've had better to call this jerk chicken pasta with no spice to it should be illegal the flavor was very bland and the sauce tasted as if it was watered down heavy whipping cream. The portion amount was okay and no I would never order this again"

"I never leave reviews but this has to be done. My wife is visiting from DR and was really in the mood for mofongo. We looked on Doordash and wound up picking this restaurant. No regrets, no disappointments, all of the food is amazing. It's very much like, if not, exactly like, the mofongo I've had when visiting my in-laws and wife in DR.
Portions are excellent, food is fantastic. Stop looking at other related restaurants and just order from here."

"Not too bad! The jerk chicken (dark meat) had a nice smoky flavor and, most importantly, wasn’t dry. It was refreshing to have jerk Jerk Chicken (Dark Meat) that was actually moist and flavorful. The rice was also really good, not like some other Jamaican restaurants where the rice and peas can be dry. This rice was moist, well-seasoned, and had plenty of flavor. The only problem is I ordered a patty and they were out of Beef Patty and I didn't know until I got my order that they were out. Definitely will try this place again though."

"Delicious, closest to my mummy's tassot dine that I've been able to find in South FL in over a decade. Pikliz needed more cabbage and carrots in my opinion but that's my preference (I prefer a crunchier pikliz) but the flavor and spice level were very good. Banan peze on point. Diri djon djon very tasty. Diri kole was SO good. 10/10
Also laughing at the other review that stated she "didn't like it" but also thumbs upped all three of the dishes she ordered... "This meal was simple but filling. The liver was well-cooked and had good flavor, and the onions and peppers on top gave it a nice crunch and a bit of freshness. The boiled green bananas were soft and paired well with the meat, making it a hearty combo. I can appreciate the frustrations of others regarding the smaller portion size. I think that Tabanka's food is amazing. Would I have loved more? Sure. I also recognize that the restaurant has to be aware of their portion sizes as not to hurt their profit margins. I felt our portion size was appropriate for the price paid. Anna and team, keep up the amazing work!"

"We ordered the Big Back Noodle Boil and the Xtreme Noodle Boil with crab meat, and both were absolutely incredible! The seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor. That garlic butter seasoning was so good we didn’t want to leave a single noodle behind.
The portions were HUGE, so you definitely get your money’s worth. My whole family loved every bite, and there wasn’t one complaint at the table.
We’re from Virginia, and I’m just going to say it… VA ain’t got nothing on Just Sousey! We’ll definitely be making the trip back because this food is worth it. If you’re thinking about ordering, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed!"
"The flavor was good it had a good balance between crunch and filling although it was a little bit oily being that the roll itself is deep fried, it arrived still fresh so that was a plus, it came buy one get one but after it arrived i see why, the portions are snack sized depending on how much you eat. For me it was enough to keep me satisfied, for a grown man this would be an appetizer so if you're thinking this would be a meal i advise picking something else. The prices are a bit high for what you but this particular dish was bogo so it makes up for it a little. They also came with 2 different sauces so i'm not sure which is made for the rolls , one lighter peach colored sauce and another deep orange sauce, i preferred the lighter sauce with this dish as the orange one was too mustard forward for my liking and took away from the rolls, overall it was a 7/10 i'd buy from here again but next time i might try something different i also loved that i have a shellfish allergy but i had no issues with cross contamination or feeling sick :)"

"This place is the real deal. I have tried scores of Latin restaurants in Soflo that disappoint. The flavors of every dish is as authentic as it gets to anyone who grew up eating Latin food, specifically Caribbean Latin. The only oxtail I'll order anywhere from West Palm to Fort Lauderdale."
"We really enjoyed our meal and would absolutely order from here again. The Rabo Encendido was divine, rich, incredibly flavorful, and easily one of the highlights. It is a bit on the expensive side, especially for the portion size, but it was such a delicious treat that I’d happily order it again.
The Ropa Vieja was also very tasty and came with a generous portion. The steamed yuca was the perfect side for it. The beans were a little soupier than I typically prefer, but they were well seasoned and perfectly cooked.
The only real miss was the white rice, which was noticeably hard, and some of the portions felt a little small for the price.
And the café con leche deserves its own mention, it was the best I’ve had in a long time. Seriously good. Overall, the flavors were there, we enjoyed everything enough that we would definitely order again, and I already know another café con leche will be part of the next order. ☕️❤️"

"This was my second time ordering from this place, and it did not disappoint at all! This has got to be one of the best Griot (Fried Pork) that I have had in the whole South Florida area. The meat was tender, fresh, seasoned with an amazing gravy; the Plantains (3 Bannan Peze) and Marinade were hot, fresh and well seasoned. 10/10 quality and service!"
"The Tassot Turkey (Fried Turkey)itself was tasty. The black rice was kind of bland. The Boulette (Meatballs) was really tiny for the price and were not tasting good. Not the quality of Boulette (Meatballs) that I would usually get from other Haitian restaurants. The plaintains did not taste like it was cooked in fresh oil. Usually it's better here, maybe it was the I ordere but I was disappointed."

"Best rice and oxtails in the city. I was skeptical but it was worth it. Big portion, definitely fresh and now my man has to order me dinner from here every week."
"The Fried Chicken was burnt, I always ordered white meat and very few times I get a piece of breast. It's always two wings and a piece of back of the breast or some scraps. The rice is hard at times and most times have no color because they don't use enough peas.
The flavor of chicken is good but I will not use order again. "

"Initially, I placed my order through the storefront instead of the one that processes delivery orders. A dasher reached out to me to let me know about the mix-up. After that conversation, I contacted the store directly. A lovely, polite woman explained the situation to me.
After I reordered, I discovered that one of the items was unavailable. However, she made it right by going above and beyond, even sending an extra treat. At that moment, I knew the food would be delicious. The customer service truly left a positive impression on me, and the meal was yummy. Thank you!"

"Nice flavor...Griot was moist on the inside, outside was fried just right. Rice and beans large potion, veg was fresh. The side toppings were a bonus to me but made the dish much more enjoyable. The restaurant staff were beyond helpful and humble, they go out of there to make sure all orders are accurate and accounted for. Just found a gem."
"The griot is amazing. But the fries and 6 Pcs Chicken Wings were a miss. Like major miss. I also think this may have been a one off but it was a major miss. The Meal Griot - Fried Pork Served W/ White Rice And Black Bean Sauce had a lot of fat pieces also so though it tasted great there were a lot of pieces. Over all it's decent.
I dont know if I'd order again only because the inconsistency is a hit or miss and the price isn't that low to just sample."
