"Ordered the beef pho, Rice vermicelli - Bun Rieu and the banh mi. All were delicious and great quality. Extremely filling and very flavorful."
"Made an order Christmas evening for a quick family dinner before heading out to the movies. The cold cut banh mi for the price was good. But there was hardly any meat let alone the main ingredient. Mayo and pate . I kid you not when I open up the banh mi I was so confused on what kind of banh mi it was. No mayo, barely any pate, the two cold cuts meat were so thinly slice. I was better off going to Wawa for a hoagie.
Ordered the pho with the flank and meatballs. Ended up with shank instead. Kids would not eat the shank as they wanted meatballs.
Wonton soup broth was straight sesame oil ... the wonton itself was okay.
Rice platter my husband didnt even eat..he said the "grilled" pork wasnt grilled but rather precooked then microwaved. Had a chewy texture.
Spring rolls were the best thing they had offered. Actually best I have tried around the area that isnt filled loaded with taro as a substitute to fill the egg roll . "

"58. Vegetable Egg Foo Young (菜圆蛋) was bland, thin on the eggs and lacked any flavor. Not terrible, just ok. 1. Cheese Steak Roll had hardly any steak or cheese. Egg 1b. Plain Egg Roll (菜卷) was also light on the filling; both rolls were gummy. Cheeseburger (汉堡) was dry and lacked any flavor. Mostly a large bun with a small disc of unseasoned mystery meat. Not even sure if there was cheese."

"We got the Curried Chicken with Rice w. Onion and Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper. Both were very good and very filling. They tasted incredible and were still hot as hell. I only wish the Curried Chicken with Rice w. Onion was more spicy."
"I’ve been coming to Penang for years and used to be a frequent customer for both dine-in and takeout. It was always one of my favorite local restaurants, which makes it especially disappointing to say that my last two experiences (including today’s) have convinced me that the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly. Whether it’s due to new ownership, poor management, or a lack of staff training, something has clearly changed.
I placed a takeout order for 9 items and was quoted an estimated pickup time of 1 hour. That’s an unusually long wait, especially on a Tuesday at 4pm when the restaurant was nearly empty. When I arrived, there were only three occupied tables, making the wait even harder to understand.
The pickup experience was equally disappointing. A server pointed me toward the front counter, but no one was there. I stood waiting for nearly 5 minutes before someone finally came over, even though my food had already been packed and was sitting behind the counter.
The packaging showed a complete lack of care. While the individual containers were fine, the entire order was crammed into a single brown paper bag filled to the top, with containers sticking up near the handles. There was no way the bag could be carried safely without risking it tearing. I politely asked if they could split the order into two bags. Instead of helping, the employee gave me a dirty look, handed me an empty second bag after I had already paid, and told me to repack it myself. That should never be the customer’s responsibility. It should have been packaged properly from the start.
Unfortunately, the food has declined as well. The roti canai, which used to be one of my favorites, was a huge disappointment. The roti itself was rubbery, and the curry dipping sauce was so watered down that it lacked the rich flavor it was once known for. Other dishes also seemed noticeably smaller while prices have continued to increase. I understand inflation affects restaurants, but this felt more like cutting corners than simply adjusting prices.
What disappoints me most is that Penang used to stand out for both its food and hospitality. Now the customer service feels indifferent, the attention to detail is gone, and the food no longer justifies the prices.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two consistently poor experiences, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. It’s unfortunate to see a place that was once so reliable decline to this extent."

"I cannot ever get sick of their food. It. Is. So. Good. I genuinely have never DoorDashed a place more than here. Their portions are so perfect, a small goes a long way. It's so fresh it's never a hit or miss it's always a hit."
"Everything was good except my Cheese Steak Roll didn't taste like Cheese Steak Roll they tasted like just Steak and onions and it was really dry. also my Fried Chicken Wing(3) was very small especially for the price of them even though i.was getting three free I think the should have been biggier Wings than what was given to me."

"Absolutely spectacular, as always! The shrimp is incredibly fresh, the chicken is nice and crunchy on the outside and super tender on the inside and not burt to a crisp. Also, the amount you get for the price is definitely worth it. 10/10 will order again"
"The 32. Beef Lo Mein (Qt.) was excellent. Very good in terms of flavour, spice and quantity. The beef was well cooked and was juicy.
The 53. Vegetable Mai Fun was delicious ! One of my favourite dishes. Always filled with a big amount of vegetables.
The 64. Plain Yat Gaw Mein (Quart) was really good. The balance between the sauce and the noodles was exactly as it should be. The only minus, is that the sauce wasn't well mixed withhe noodles. So what was under, was a little dry.
But for the rest, the taste was excellent."

"I was a bit doubtful of ordering from this place since I wasn't sure it was going to taste good, but surprisingly it did. Great flavor and the rice tasted like actual rice that is cooked (for example some other Chinese places, their rice is hard and undercooked). The portion size is great, the chicken was flavorful. I would order again."

"I got the 26. Shrimp Lo Mein & the 2. Shrimp Egg Roll. Both are sooo good. I didn't even need to add soy sauce to my lo mein, that's how good it is. The shrimp roll was a little too toasted(fried) on one side but I didn't mind it. It didn't take away from the taste. I'll definitely be ordering here again."
"L14. Szechuan Halal Beef Lunch Special we ordered was heat level 3. It was perfect. The spice level was background but noticeable. Although she thought it wasn't hot enough. "I couldn't post all the photos I took, first let me start by saying every piece of sushi needed its own photo with how beautifully it was prep. This was the best sushi I had in a long time. Very fresh ingredients and the flavor was outstanding. All the rolls was packed they wasn't cheap with the portion size. My daughters was getting full after a few pieces. I loved them all, I can't just pick one so I'll just continue to order them all. I'm definitely ordering again!"
