This has been one of my partner’s go-to sushi spots, usually for delivery. Tonight we ordered three rolls and miso soup through DoorDash for pickup. Our total was $75.83, including a $10 tip for the staff.
When my partner picked it up, she asked for extra chili oil and spicy mayo and was told they don’t like “giving away extra.” We ordered three rolls? She even offered to pay for it, but the interaction became so unnecessarily unpleasant that she eventually just said forget it.
It’s not about the sauce. It’s about how you treat customers. We spent $75 on takeout on a random Tuesday, tipped on a pickup order, and were perfectly willing to pay for extras.
We live in Oceanside and have plenty of great sushi options. We genuinely liked ordering from here, but after tonight we’ll happily take our business to Harney Sushi instead."
