"Not the greatest we've ever had, but definitely what the doctor ordered. Steak Quesadilla was excellent, Carnitas Burrito (Pulled Pork) was good (could use some salt or salsa), Corn in a Cup (Esquite) was spot on."
"ordered the chicken taco combo which comes with 2 tacos, rice and beans, for the price it was a good amount of food, would recommend "

"I ordered their individual Taco for three days. I tried their spicy chicken, seasoned pork, and steak. I have no complaints, and it is what I consider authentic. Cilantro, Onions, their homemade hot sauces, and radishes on the side. It is a steal for three dollars each in a world of overpriced food. I ordered eight to ten Taco each time for three days straight😆; delicious food!"
"The birria Birria Taco - Single Taco was delicious and super packed with meat, but the Horchata was the worst one I've ever had."

"Not sure why the 5 Piece Crispy Chicken Nuggets are so discolored (and tiny). I've had this at another location which was much better quality. I ordered the Dragonfruit Freeze No Syrup, but it clearly has syrup and was not full. I know it's hot today, but it should be more full than you see. Only thing I liked was the fiesta potatoes, they were the freshest thing I had"

"Unfortunately this is some of the worst Elote i've ever had. The Nachos weren't terrible but for the price, they're not very good. "It's still pretty good. The Hard Rock n Roll Sauce may be my favorite of all time.
But to be honest, the prices here have far exceeded th value, regardless of the excellent sauce. Find a local spot if you can first. Orale Tacos is incredible, a fraction of the price and homemade. "We have ordered from here several times and everything we've tried has been delicious. When ordering the Tacos Gringos - the "Crispy" tacos, we always ask for the fillings to be sent separately. They always accommodate and then we can crisp up the shells, and it's never soggy. I particularly like the Chancho Burrito, the meat is very flavorful. "
"Super disappointed. I ordered a burrito, a side of rice and beans, and an elote. The burrito is huge and will definitely carry me through a second and probably even third meal, and the elote was at least buttery, soft, and comforting. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ended.
The rice was cooked well, but the only thing giving “authentic Latin yellow rice” was the color. No seasoning, no depth, no warmth. Just bland. The beans tasted like they were poured straight from a can with little done to elevate them. And the burrito? More of the same flavorless rice and beans wrapped around a dry, underseasoned chicken breast and rolled into a flour tortilla the size of my forearm.
At this point, I almost want to open the whole thing up and doctor it myself with salt, pepper, pico de gallo, lime, maybe even some hot sauce just to make it enjoyable. I’m honestly shocked there wasn’t even salsa or sour cream included, because it desperately needs something to bring moisture and flavor to the dish.
For the price, I genuinely feel like I could have made something far more flavorful at home for a third of the cost. If you’re looking for bold, authentic Latin flavors, this probably is not the spot. Keep looking."

"Been going and ordering food from here since February and i love it, the staff and food are great. I always tend to go with a burrito bowl, plantain, and when they have it the chocolate flan was excellent. Definitely a hidden gem of milford. "
"I don't mind paying high prices if the food is tasty, but the food was just terrible. Perhaps they include the hot salsa to mask the fact that the food is rather bland? The portions were too small for the price, but for this area of New England it's understandable.

"I moved out here from California andhave been trying to find a Mexican spot that is close to how they make it out there. This place did not dissapoint. The Carnitas De Puerco were delicious. They were not dry and had really good flavor. The only thing that I didnt enjoy was the price of the Guacamole Tipico. It was very good, but $24 is robbery. Id still orderjt again tho
"
"I order from them often , fajita salad chicken or combo , you must try the chile con queso dip , my husband loves the molcajete and pork carnitas platters, dont forget dessert lava cake and churros yummy!!! (Molcajete its big enough for two) fyi"

"This is the best Mexican restaurant in Connecticut. The price to food ratio is excellent, and will fill you up in a good way. The Large Chips & Sauce are home made and fresh and the Mole Enchiladas will always fill your plate."
"Ixtapa Mexican Grille has excellent
food. It gets better and better over
the years. They say 17 yrs, but seems
like decades.
The Huevos Machaca had so much
carne seca that I needed 3 wheat
tortillas to finish it. We loved the
Combo Tres: chicken enchilada,
beef taco and a terrific Chile
Relleno.
The Huevos Mexicana was hearty
delicious like from a family Cantina.
That's what Ixtapa Grille does. It
takes comfortable family fare and
elevates it to fine dining.
In addition to tacos, burritos, and
enchiladas, Ixtapa offers steak &
seafood entrees.
But the rice, beans and salad sides
provide reliable familiarity.
Tunbir was a great dasher."

"The ultimate nachos were not ultimate. Clearly what we are served at the restaurant is not what we are served on delivery. "Best tacos in Hamden. The quality of the meats used in the food is what sets Orale apart. Wood-n-Tap

"This is my Hickory Burger from the Wood-n-Tap restaurant, which I ordered at the peak dinner hour of exactly 6:22. I ordered my burger exactly as it is on the menu at the cook temperature of Medium Rare. I do like my burger to be quite pink so I ALWAYS order delivered red meat more rare than I would in a restaurant as the meat will keep cooking in the box & bag on the way to my house-just a tip for food ordering newbies and this goes double for steak orders.
I received my order earlier than expected by about 10 minutes about 37 minutes total time from order to delivery...and it was ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING. Considering the 20something degree temperature outside and a 15-20 mile trip from restaurant to my home everything arrived incredibly well.
I ordered 2 of these burgers, 1 for myself and one for my hubby. The frizzled onions were still awesomely crispy, i almostwish I added extra even though im stuffed to capacity cuz they were so awesome. Frizzled onions are something that I find even when I order and eat inside a restaurant can often be a very hard item to nail and they NAILED IT- these were fantastic. The bacon was still crisp, the fries were warm and clearly not fresh from the fryer because they'd obviously been delivered, but they definitely still had a crispness to them. As you can see in the photos (and if you've ever ordered high end takeout or just brought home leftovers before) you probably know that condensation can sometimes be an issue in travel- its the tax you pay to not have to leave your home for incredibly amazing food.
I took a few photos, this way you can see what a delivery of this burger's doneness at medium rare in delivery at my time, temperature and distance looks like, as well as the burger's size which was bigger than my entire hand- I will say my hand is a woman's hand and I wouldn't say I have a large hand at all, but I'd say the burger was pretty darn large. I apologize for having taken my photo of the entire box of food with a bite taken from it, it just smelled and looked so amazingly delicious and I was so hungry that I just had to take a giant bite.
This was my very first time ever ordering from Wood-n-Tap, but I can assure you it will not be my last. This burger was juicy, lean, seasoned amazingly and beefy- exactly what I was craving- a REAL BURGER. This is not some puny paper thin fast food mystery meat grease bomb. If thats what you're craving you know where to go to get it. But with prices these days, with a total plus tip not much more than one of those neon sign fast food joints... I'll take Wood-n-Tap over that other trash ANYDAY! If I could give 20 stars I would!"
"The Dirty Chicken Wrap was so good. I loved the tangy sauce. The portion was big and all the ingredients tasted fresh! I loved that the avocado was actually RIPE! That was the best part. I'm usually iffy about dishes with avocado but this one did not disappoint! I'm glad I ordered it! The Steak Taco was my favorite. The Shrimp Taco was good too but I preferred the savory steak. I am so full from those three things that I'll have to eat my Caesar Salad Caesar Salad Large and Spinach Artichoke Flatbread later tonight. I am hopeful they will be just as good. First time ordering so I got a few things to try and I will definitely be ordering again!"
