Turon (Tagalog pronunciation: [tuˈɾɔn]; also known as lumpiang saging (Filipino for "banana lumpia") or sagimis in dialectal Tagalog, is a Philippine snack made of thinly sliced bananas (preferably saba or Cardaba bananas), rolled in a spring roll wrapper, fried till the wrapper is crisp and coated with caramelized brown sugar.[1] Turon can also include other fillings. "I drove by this place a couple times and was excited that a new Indonesian place was opening up. It's a really nice and cozy cafe that serves old school pastries, the kind I would eat in my childhood. When I moved to the States, you can't really find those pastel, kroket, risoles, or lemper, not many restaurant sells them, or even makes them from scratch. So when I saw all these pastries, I went crazy and I knew this place would fill the missing parts of my immigrant life here. I would say this is one of the only place that would bring back all those nostalgic memories before moving to LA and I would drive 1 hour just to get that fresh, made from scratch pastries. I haven't found any other Indonesian cafe that would bring back all my happy childhood memories of hanging out with my friends at a cafe, eating pastels & risoles with chili and sambal (the real one, not that fake wannabe bullcrap from HuyFong).
Now let's talk about the plate lunch. This is some true, authentic home cooked meal, just like how our family would them back home. It's has been a struggle to find a super juice, tender, mouth watering Indonesian meal. Chicken satay? Extraordinary. Pork satay? Out of this world. Ox tail soup? Not even a single restaurant can beat Kedai's ox tail soup. Beef rendang? Just like home.
Oh and the coffee? Stop going to Starbucks that serves fake coffee using Indonesian island as their name, you're better off going to the real place that serves the real, authentic, imported Indonesian coffee for the same price. If you have a doubt about this, my last name is Indonesian as hell, I grew up there, and I approve this as one of the most ethnic & authentic cafe."

"Menkoi Ramen was bland. Paid for 4/10 spice and tasted absolutely no spice. $1.25 for 6 tiny slivers of red onion. Extra noodles were completely cold. At least the chashu was good, unfortunately not enough to redeem the boring broth.
Vegetarian Shoyu Ramen was slightly better but still fairly bland. Lots of veggies which were nice.
My son's Oyakodon Bowl (Chicken & Egg) was pretty good.
Overall everything was overpriced and bland, but nothing tasted BAD and the portions were filling. Additional ding for refusing "special requests" in the door dash app but also providing no other way to ask for items to not be included on a dish, such as removing the bamboo from one of the Ramens, instead I had to rummage through the bowl to pick them out. "The chicken and ribeye were cooked well and flavorful without any added sauce. The rice was well cooked but a little bland in flavor but the soy sauce and saracha sauce helped with that.
Sauces came in a big container and were overall well. I recommend using plastic containers for the sauces as it prevent it from cooling slower than the paper containers. Also, if the ribeye can be cut into smaller pieces.
Overall 4 out of 5 and I remember when I tryed yoshinoya when I was a kid about 7 or 8 I did not like it at all, but this time it was really good and I will be reordering today again for lunch"
