"The Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) had an odd smell to it, followed by something that didnt taste like Butter Chicken to me. There was also about 10 small bitesized pieces of chicken that was not worth $18 - I've gotten much larger portions for less $$ at other restaurants.
Both of the ice creams were severely frost burned, with hard ice covering the containers. When I got the lids off, the ice cream looked old, frost burned and like it had previously melted and was refrozen. It was just all so sad in the end..."

But the veggie burger says it comes with a soda (ordered from lunch menu), but it actually doesn't. I've never received a drink with the burgers I've ordered. I usually get the desi pizza, though to be honest I can't tell a difference between their desi pizza and any other veggie pizza out there...there's no distinct difference in taste. The chaats are also quite good, but could use some more chutneys in my opinion. "

The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly. "
