The croquette is seasoned very well and the bits of corn add a subtle sweetness that I love! The portion of rice, curry, and cabbage is pretty generous and I'd say it’s worth the price.
The curry sauce is good, the umami is there, but there's a slight sour/tart(?) taste that I don't quite care for. However, paired with the croquette and cabbage is just soooo delicious!
Now, if Curry Hyuga could just fix their packaging for takeout, I'd definitely be a happier camper. Their packaging ALWAYS leaks and more than 3 times I've had to make a complaint for partial refunds. One time, it leaked ALL of the curry sauce and you can't have curry rice without curry!

The Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice spice rating for someone who likes heat it's a medium level, but if you are sensitive it will be hot. My low rating is because the beef was inedible. It was chewy and stringy and grainy in texture. It was cut against the grain which made it harder to eat and there were like stringy tendons or whatever all throughout it. The portion was big but I gagged on it and spit it out. I wouldn't order beef again. The rice itself tasted good. It has the smoky char taste from how it's cooked. "Deceptive and disappointing. Despite advertising as a five-course meal most of the courses are actually paid add-ons. No soup, no dipping sauces, no rice. Portion of meat for $52 was ridiculously small, and "mixed vegetables" was just greasy onions and zucchini. Despite virtually all meal photos showing the fried rice, and being a staple of the restaurant experience, the fine-print says that this only includes steamed rice - and mine didn't even come with that. See the picture and tell me this is a premium five-course meal. "

"Disappointing experience. The poke bowl was absolutely drenched in sauce. Whoever assembled it was extremely heavy handed with the sauce. The rice and everything else in the bowl was completely flooded.
I ordered a mix of shrimp and tuna, but the portion of seafood was surprisingly small. Everything was so covered in sauce that I could barely tell the difference between the tiny shrimp particles and tuna or taste the ingredients themselves.
Also, if you are ordering through DoorDash, be aware that the menu prices appear to be higher than when ordering delivery directly from the restaurant. I wish the pricing and additional charges were itemized and disclosed more clearly, especially for DashPass members.
Overall, less sauce, a more reasonable portion of protein, and better pricing transparency would make a big difference."
