"This is the best shawarma I've had in Denver! Tastes very close to the halal stands in NYC and Philly. Perfect flavor and not over-seasoned with cumin or Euro/American spices like most middle eastern food here is. It's pure shawarma spices. Hummus and falafel are fantastic too, and again, are not cumin based so you get all of the traditional and authentic flavors just like I've had in the Middle East and NE US. "We live just two blocks from this spot and they have some great flavors. My wife and I have had it a few times and it is up there if you enjoy middle eastern or Mediterranean food. I love a good Gyros Sandwich and thats a go to on any menu that has them since a kid. I really enjoy theirs and you will not be disappointed with flavor or portion but to me nothing beats their lamb kabobs and the seasoning/sauce that its grilled in. Next order I would go for a scewer plate with 3 scewers of just the lamb and their rice. Its a great flavor and grilled to perfection! My wife had the Chicken Shawarma Plate and really enjoyed it. Once again it's a nice portion and we added an Extra Skewer of Beef Kafta. "We ordered the lamb gyros for Father’s Day on DoorDash . Unfortunately, it was one of the worst restaurant meals I’ve had in a long time.
The lamb had an extremely strong, gamey flavor that completely overwhelmed the dish. Even after covering it in hot sauce just to make it edible, the taste lingered in my mouth long afterward. I’ve had lamb before and understand it has a distinct flavor, but this was far beyond what I’d consider enjoyable.
To make matters worse, the “chips” served with the meal weren’t fries or house-made chips—they were essentially plain Ruffles-style potato chips. For the price, that was disappointing.
Overall, the meal was a huge letdown, especially for a Father’s Day meal. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the lamb gyro was genuinely unpleasant and not something I would ever order again."
