"We live just two blocks from this spot and they have some great flavors. My wife and I have had it a few times and it is up there if you enjoy middle eastern or Mediterranean food. I love a good Gyros Sandwich and thats a go to on any menu that has them since a kid. I really enjoy theirs and you will not be disappointed with flavor or portion but to me nothing beats their lamb kabobs and the seasoning/sauce that its grilled in. Next order I would go for a scewer plate with 3 scewers of just the lamb and their rice. Its a great flavor and grilled to perfection! "Nice spot that is very close to us right by the Capital. We've eaten here a few times and everything is always nice flavors, fresh food and good portions. The Gyros Wrap was very good but the pita started to break apart while I was trying to eat it. Maybe toasting the pita a little may help but the flavors were good other than that issue. My wife had the Chicken Shawarma Plate and really enjoyed it. Once again it's a nice portion and we added an Extra Skewer of Beef Kafta. Well seasoned nice Kafta here, we had it in the past so I just wanted one as an extra treat."

"You may have noticed that I placed two back-to-back DoorDash orders from the same restaurant. In the first order, I mistakenly selected a dish that I thought was made with beef, but it was actually lamb. The menu used a name I wasn't familiar with, so I didn't realize it contained lamb. In hindsight, that part was my mistake.
Because I strongly dislike the taste of lamb, I couldn't eat it and ended up throwing the meal away. I then placed a second order for a beef dish with fries. The menu clearly stated that it was beef. However, what I received was a mixture of beef and lamb.
Lamb has a very distinct taste that makes me gag, so I was unable to eat that meal as well. As a result, I wasted both time and money on these orders. Unfortunately, this experience has been very disappointing, and I will not be ordering from this restaurant again."

"I’m an American girl who grew up in Michigan, where I fell in love with Middle Eastern food long before I married into a Syrian family. Between Michigan’s incredible Arab food scene and years of eating Syrian food both at home and in restaurants, I have a pretty solid idea of what I’m hoping for when I order shawarma.
Sizzle is good for Denver, but Denver desperately needs more honest representation of Middle Eastern food.
The chicken here was flavorful and well browned, but it lacked what I love most about real spit-roasted shawarma: thin shavings with those deeply roasted, crispy edges mixed with juicy meat. The platter was also overwhelmingly rice-forward, with the hummus reduced to a small scoop in the corner. The shawarma-and-hummus plates I grew up eating centered the hummus—shawarma piled directly over a generous plate of it, drizzled with olive oil, ideally with toasted pine nuts, warm pita alongside, and rice as a side rather than the foundation of the meal.
I also ordered the dolma, and while I obviously can’t say how they were prepared, they looked and tasted remarkably like commercially canned dolma. That was disappointing from a Middle Eastern restaurant.
I actually want places like this to succeed. Denver has large and growing Middle Eastern communities, and the food deserves to be represented with the same confidence and care you find in places like Metro Detroit. Don’t adapt it into another generic “Mediterranean rice bowl” because you think that’s what American customers expect. Some of us Americans are here because we want the real thing.
Give me the crispy shawarma. Give me the giant plate of hummus. Hell, charge me for the pine nuts. 😂 I’ll pay for them. Just let Middle Eastern food be Middle Eastern food."
