"This was the 1st time ordering from Bourbon Street. I ordered the bourbon chicken and the orange chicken as any 2 meats; the macaroni and cheese & yellow rice for the any 2 sides.
I was surprised to receive everything in one big container instead of 2 separate containers, since combo plateS was plural. The portion size was large and reasonably priced.
However, I found the pieces to be too tough because most of the chicken was charbroiled and the rest was overcooked. i haven't tried the mac and cheese yet, but the yellow rice was dry. i was expecting at least some orange or bourbon sauce for the rice and on top of the chicken. "Wow. Very good General Tso's Chicken! More on the sweet side which I do like. Also seemed to be good Chicken...not too white, not too dark meat. Portion size was "just enough" for a hungry man. The chicken with white rice, Wonton Soup, a Spring Roll, and Crispy Noodles was filling. Hard to finish but not quite enough for leftovers. I will say that the rice and wontons had a "Pine" aftertaste...but whatever...it worked. I called in a special request of chop sticks and they came through! Can't wait to bring my family there and try it without the delivery...it's got to be twice as good! Price is what is to be expected of a gourmet Asian restaurant...maybe $1 over what I usually pay for the chicken. Worth the experience. Thank you!"
