"Ok so I didnt have time to take a picture because I was ready to dig in, especially before the kids came home from school (yes this was my making it through the week treat). I was skeptical to order from anywhere else but Kabu in Laurel, but I def wanted to try something new and at a good price for a combo.
But this was one of the BEST and freshest sushi entree Ive ever had! Im so happy I found a new sushi place and can't wait to visit the restaurant. Even the miso soup was bomb! Trust me, the delivery fee was worth it.
And yes I ordered on a friday evening, during DMV homecoming weekend.. so traffic was hectic and my order took a lil longer than expected but Melissa, my driver was so sweet. Even though she showed up wearing a Ravens jersey, I was still happy to see her LOL

The Homura Don had barely a tablespoon of meat and it was overloaded with just pepper and bland outside of that. Would be too spicy for most kids imho. The "meat" in the Sukiyaki Don was inedible. It was almost entirely fatty gristle and it was not possible to separate the tiny bits of meat out of the fatty gristle. The regular rolls were a great value and the chef special roll we got was very filling. They also make it very easy to modify anything to your liking-- we made a few changes/added an extra ingredient or sauce to a few rolls and everything was perfect. Packaging was also very good and everything arrived well wrapped with no leakage or spills. Worth the money, this will be a new favorite take out place for us!"

"I really wanted to like this order, but it honestly fell flat.
The salt and pepper shrimp & chicken had surprisingly no salt and pepper flavor at all. In fact, there wasn’t any seasoning on the food. The only thing that had flavor were the peppers and onions mixed in with it. On top of that, it was packed in a sealed plastic container, so the condensation made everything soft and not crispy by the time it arrived. (Even paid for extra for express delivery)
The vegetable tempura had the same problem. The dipping sauce was placed inside the container and spilled all over the tempura, which made it completely soggy. It was also packed in a container with no ventilation, so the steam from the hot food just ruined the crispiness.
The cheese wonton is exactly what the name says. It’s literally just a wonton filled with Philadelphia cream cheese. If you’re expecting something like a crab rangoon with extra flavor, this isn’t that. It’s straight cream cheese, nothing else.
Overall, the biggest issues were the lack of seasoning and the packaging. Fried food needs ventilation to stay crispy, and unfortunately everything arrived soft and soggy. The peppers and onions were honestly the only part of the meal that had any real flavor. I don't think I will be ordering again."
