"The bread was pretty good. The marinara sauce left a lot to be desired - watery and chunky, like they chopped up tomatoes and called it a day. I only got one cup of sauce (maybe 2 oz. size) with a large calzone, while the other large calzone we ordered got two cups. (This was fine...I ended up making my own marinara sauce to eat with the leftovers.)
The L Train calzone used beefsteak tomatoes, which generally aren't very flavorful, and there were maybe six chunks in the whole 16-18" calzone. It was 99% cheese. I don't think there was any ricotta in it at all. Very bland. Husband said the Prospect Park was also bland. It was a lot of food, but worth the money. "
