I just tried one of the BASKET OF SOPAPILLAS (8) sopapillas and it was light, fluffy and just the right amount of cinnamon-sugar. "#38 LARGE QUESO was either old or overcooked. It was clumpy as if it came from the bottom of a pot that had been cooking for an entire day.

I had the Chilaquiles Mexicanos, which is corn chips, cheese, meat, cheese, onions, tomatoes, peppers and is served with the most unbelievable potatoes and beans on the side. Some were fine but several were hard and not chewable, had kind of a thicker texture that would not break down. I've eaten at Mexican Inn (in various locations) my entire life so I know their chips are typically good. We ordered a queso and extra chips, but are going to use store bought instead because almost of the chips we tried are not edible unfortunately so the extra chips were a waste of money. That said, the other food we received was delicious as always and I know any restaurant can have an off night. I think in the future we won't Dash Mexican Inn on a weeknight but instead on a busier weekend when the chips won't perhaps be left sitting for too long."

"The Baja Salad was good, but I'm very disappointed that they now put it all together for delivery. They used to put all the parts in a divided container to put together myself. They also cut back on the amount of meat use. Now, it's mostly beans. I cannot eat an entire salad in one sitting. I just take half of it out and put it into a bowl to eat and save the other half for the next day. Then, I used to heat up the meat and beans, put them on the lettuce and add the tomatoes and cheese on top. Now, if I heat it up, the tomatoes and lettuce get warm and the lettuce wilts (ick), or I have to eat it with cold meat and refried beans. Neither option works well. The cheese, that melted on top the last time, has now solidified into one big mass that I have to cut into with a knife. The Chips & Queso are great, as always. I just transfer the queso into a microwave safe container to warm up again."
