"Delicious Jamaican oxtails. My jerk chicken was packaged just right with oxtail gravy on my rice. Golden Krust on Lyons Ave. is the good one. I tried other Golden Krust and they suck in comparison to the on on Lyons Ave., they need to actually help out the other food chains. Lyons Ave. try the brown stew chicken and Escovitch fish when they have it good as well."
"Now this is my second day in a row ordering the oxtails and I must say Im not disappointed at all !!!!! The amount , the taste, very consistent with flavor!!! OMG!!!! Definitely my favorite meal!!!! Thank you GOLDEN CRUST for serving me and satisfying my taste buds! "

"Hands down the best Jamaican food I've had in the area. Very consistent. Love their oxtail and beans dinner--the gravy is delicious & they give very generous plantain portions as well. My go to for Jamaican food! "
"Oxtails are very tasty but for the price even if you get a large size they dont give much meat @ all which i think is wrong for the price but of course they load you up with rice and plantain. Door dash does a good job, tip extra if you can always smiling n nice. "

"The platters were sooo good and seasoned to perfection!!! Nice portons. The Stewed chicken special and the Curried Chicken Roti the flavor is on point, hands down 5 stars in regard to flavor. The only negative issue (but not so negative) I would have to say wouldbe that I would have preferred chicken pieces in the roti to not have the bones, lol. I was enjoying it so much when I went to bite down, I bit into a large bone. So had to remove the bones. Overall, hands down a must try. I will be ordering again. They were sold out of the Pound Cake but did offer me a coconut as replacement. The coconut cake is pretty good also."
"This was my first time ordering from Island Spot and to be honest I was scared. It's the fourth Caribbean restaurant I've tried and I was worried because of past experiences.
The way the carefully wapped the food was impressive. I have not seen that. The mixed steamed veggies were not soggy but crunchy and flavorful. The Medium Curried Chicken was a nice portionfor the price and very good. The rice and peas was fresh and wasn't dry or soggy, just right.
Although they delivered quicker than the estimated 30 mins, the food was a bit cold. I was also unable to choose between white rice or rice and peas, which I found odd. "

"Absolutely loved my Coconut Curry Shrimp. The food was incredibly fresh and tasty. Authentic Trinidadian flavor.... the food melts in your mouth. I will be ordering again.... soon!"
"The curry goat roti for $24.49 was not worth the price!! The meal was with only 4 small pieces of meat that had a lot of chipped bones in the gravy, plus there was a lot of potatoes that I didn't care for. It also came with a small scoop of pumpkin and channa.. considering how inexpensive pumpkin and channa is the serving size could have been better. Definitely a 2 out of 10 rating!!!"

"I have always liked the taste of their food better than any other Jamaican restaurant I've tried in my area:. Only issue is that most times I order, I am missing food. They run out after I've ordered and they just scratch that off the order and deliver the rest. I am not aware of the deletion until the food arrives. Very disappointing! "They're usually excellent with their orders. For some reason their Oxtail Beef tasted like jerk seasoning which is unusual AND on top of it I ordered a large and was literally given only tiny small oxtail with fat. "Food is exceptional here! Always fresh, always flavorful and always delicious. My favorite on their menu is the fried turkey (well done) with brown rice and beans. The large comes with potato salad and if I order the small, I just add the potatoe salad as an extra. I order from this restaurant 2x a week and I tell everyone about them.
Do not hesitate to give them a try! Also, if you need certain accommodations with your order, just give them a call directly after; to submit your request. This is a "Chef's Kiss" restaurant."
"First time and the rice and beans were delicious and comforting. The fish was a little salty. Also, this particular order i only received a fish head. I thought i was getting a whole snapper. That should be stated. I do not like fish head, but i ate it. The pate, was a delight. Yummy, flaky. I just ordered 8 more this Am. Thank you"

"The Oxtail. Dinner is mid. The yams are from a can and canned yams will always be a negative. The Mac and cheese is ok nothing to write home about. You do receive a healthy portion of oxtail and it's not just bones. Taste wise, they lack flavor and spice. We need an option of extra oxtail gravy. "First time trying this restaurant. I really wanted stew chicken. The chicken was tender and nice sized pieces for the price. The flavor of the chicken was ok but not wow this is really good. "As a Jacan, Trinis make the best roti period. Glad this restaurant came across my feed. Best roti in this side of town."
"I was so excited to see a TT cafe nearby I just had to try it.
Staring with the Doubles , the pepper had a very spiced mustardy taste, which I loved. I hate when something is just hot for nothing, it was both hot and flavorful. The barra was a little bigger than I'm used to but as a result one was enough. Very pleasant, 8/10.
The bake and Saltfish stole the show honestly. It was still so very hot when it arrived, the bake was quite fresh as well as the saltfish. Pleasantly seasoned. This is going to be my go to. 11/10 please don't ever change this!
The Buss Up was nice, standard. I loved it. Going to go great with my meal tonight.
Lastly the Aloo Pie could've been better. I would've liked to try it without the extra sauces, as the flavors overwhelmed the pie.
I wish the Currant Rolls were in stock, I crave them so bad. Next time though, as I'll surely be ordering again. Thank you to the staff!"

"Tasty & still hot on arrival. Great portion size for the price, the rice & beans are also delicious. Maduros / Fried Sweet Plantains are great & don't taste like they're fried in old oil. Same for the Tostones / Fried Green Plantains. I also ordered a large container of their mojo sauce bc it's delish. Everything has been great, I ordered the Pernil Asado twice now, both times great."
"Once again ON POINT!!!! Great service, I put in a request to have the Pernil Asado with white rice instead of yellow and they actually did it without any issues. This Burrito Bowl w Beef is 💣 💣 💣. Deff my go to spot for homemade type food cuz my house throws down in the kitchen and MANY places in Jersey suck"

"I'm here from a different state , whenever I go to another state. I always make it my business to taste Haitian food. Magela's your tomtom gumbo is delicious, very flavorful, 10/10 . Next time I'm in town, I will definitely buy it again. The goat meat are way too big for me and I did not get any pikliz which makes it hard for me to eat the goat because it's not spicy. The same for the pig ears. The plantain is not fried to perfection. They are big and not crispy but tasty. If you had sent me one little pikliz my taste buds would have been happier. I will definitely recommend Magela's to my friends and families. By the way I saw that the pikliz was $2+ but I thought that was for extra, I don't know any Haitian restaurant that serves food without pikliz. I will make sure to add pikliz next time. The Akra was not too flavorful but eatable."
"Been craving Haitian food for a while, and I’m so glad I found this spot in East Orange, NJ. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, more than enough and the prices are very reasonable. This was my second order, and it’s officially my go-to spot whenever I’m in town."

"Philly Cheese Steak very salty. taste like a salt and pepper sandwich.

"Both items were SO good. The chicharron was crispy and salty. The onions in the bistec encebollado had a sweetness to them and went great with the rice and beef. The maduros were soft and sweet. Not pictured are the red beans, equally delicious. Can't wait to try other dishes"

"I'm fairly new to African cuisine, and today I tried the Banku and okro soup. It was AMAZING! I planned to take a picture, but I dug right in! The portions were so generous that I have enough for 2 meals. I've tried a few African restaurants recently, and Tasti Cuisine is definitely my favorite so far! The lady who answered the phone was also super sweet and helpful. Great food and great customer service! I'll definitely be back!"
"Very spicy and they gave me two measly prices of turkey ..Wouod not reccomend if you have low spice tolerance and the plantain was seemingly left out for some time before serving. The portion is small for twelve I expected a bit more ."

"After a stressful day at work, I wanted soul food and found Crabbae on IG. Mac n cheese very creamy and cheesy and it wasn't salty! Greens very seasoned and the whitening flavor has a nice after taste! The shrimp were juicy! And the juice was sweet and tasted very lemonady but not very much mango in the mix! But over 10/10"

"First time customer this platter was AMAZING! One of the best halal spots ive had.
Jerk chicken 10/10
Lamb 7/10 & I love how fresh the lemonade tasted & how safe the drink was handled with protective stickers!"
"It's the white sauce. The food is good and consistent. However, it's really the sauces that shine. I love the white sauce and omg sauce (tastes somewhat reminiscent of some salad dressing, maybe Russian). Once I got lucky and they gave me a ton of them. Sometimes they aren't properly closed so it spills, but for the most part the packaging is very neat. Basmati rice is always fresh, and the Combo Platter is always warm. I have tried all the options, and jerk chicken is by far the best option. Falafel is fried hard and difficult to eat. Lamb is a bit salty, but it works with the sauce. I appreciate that they give you equal portions of both, and don't skimp on meat.
Pita bread is a rip off. They give tiny strips for $1.99. it isn't even a full pita.
Portions are big enough to make this into two meals. I would definitely order again. I order from here at least 1-2 times a week"
