"First time having Idly Vada Combo & it was very good! The idly was very spongy & a lot bigger than i thought. The vada was very crispy and that was my favorite. One vada & idly was enough to fill me up. The sambar had very good light curry flavor. Coconut chutney was not my fave but the other red chutney was good.i wish there was more of that one. "
"If you are looking for uncompromised, authentic Indian food that hasn't been toned down for local tastebuds, this is it. Exceptional quality and zero compromises on flavor. Our highlights:
Ghee Mini Podi Idly (5/5): Absolutely spectacular. They leave a rich, lingering flavor in your mouth long after you're done.
Thatte Idly (5/5): Incredibly soft, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect.
Vadai (from the VIP Combo) (5/5): Beautifully crispy on the outside without being greasy.
Onion Uthappam & VIP Combo (5/5): Perfectly executed comfort food.

"Sambar Rice 16oz (BisiBelaBath) Ghee (Non Vegan) they are doing a buy one get one, but it's not really a deal. Each container is worth 5 bucks max. "The "large" firebird did not have the amount of meat to justify the price. It was way more bread than meat, almost 1/3 of sandwich was just bread.
The spud was massive and had about 6 small pieces of cubed brisket not nearly enough butter/sour cream/green onion for the size of this potato.
The 1/2 pound of brisket was dry, bland and crumbly. No flavor."

"Curd Rice was delicious, best of home cooking, very comforting, just perfect for a snack or late-night easy meal. Vadas were crispy and delicious, although undersalted. Puliyodharai was a huge disappointment, I did not enjoy it at all. It was very one-note with the sour tamarind masking every other flavor. Podi Dosa was, as always, crispy, thin, and delicious!"
"These 14 mini idlis were absolutely perfect for a South-Indian comfort meal. Soft, fluffy, and served steaming hot with a flavorful sambar and two chutneys — one coconut, one tomato. The sambar had just the right spice balance and depth; it didn’t feel oily or heavy at all.
As a vegetarian, this is the kind of dish that hits home — light, nourishing, and authentic. The mini-idli format makes it fun and easy to eat, and you can taste that the batter’s well-fermented and freshly steamed.
Verdict: Ideal for breakfast, lunch, or even a light dinner when you crave something homely and satisfying."

"The best place in the Bay area, they have lots of varieties for breakfast, chutneys are awesome and I recommend everyone to try their South Indian thali or Kalyanasapadu. Friendly staff and they have outdoor dining too <3 "
"Smells and tastes exactly like authentic andhra banthi bhojanam. This is my second time ordering the same. It is enough for a person like it says - a Mini Meals. Definitely freshly made. Love it!!"

"Food was yummy, healthy and tasted like homemade delicacies. Pictures do not do justice. The variety of food in the meal combo variety is simply amazing. It was also nutritious, protein-rich and balanced with superfoods such as moringa Sambar and mixed lentils with moderate spices. I ended up ordering a second time for my trip tomorrow. Was introduced to theorplave when they catered for my cousin's baby shower. Loved the food and definitely recommend it!"
"$9.99 for less than a cup of Kesari Bath that is more like Sajigge (there is absolutely no
Kesari in it). If you just want to taste Kesari bath I would not recommend the $9.99 option and would go with the Chow Chow bath option. It comes with just one table spoon of Khara Bath (more like upittu) and one table spoon of Kesari Bath."

"I ordered Tomato Bajji Tomato Bajji Masala and Tawa Idli. Portion is little less for the price but it's completely worth it for the taste. Should have it at room temperature or little warm for perfect flavor & freshness - Andhra ppl will know what I'm talking about ;). Will order again for sure."
"Bandi Bajji Mixture is very good.
Kurnool Karam Dosa is very crispy and tasty. different from other regular tiffin places.

"The SAMOSA, the MASALA DOSA, the MADRAS PARATHA WITH CHANA, the COCONUT CHUTNEY 8 OZ, PEANUT CHUTNEY 8 OZ. especially the ginger and tamarind chutney are so delicious and yummy! I can't get enough of it.

"They will NEVER send you enough sambar with whatever you order. You order 3 or 10 things but you will always get 1 bowl of sambar and chutney. And this is always the case. I love the taste but its always a hassle to eat all the stuff without enough sambar. :/"

"Combo 2 (with 2 Vegetables) is a good value for money from this store. I would rate their Zunka as favorite, followed by bharli vangi. Dal tastes very homely.
Would recommend Paneer Tikka Frankie for a quick bite which fills you up really well. "
"Bhel Puri quantity was hardly anything. The price to quantity ratio does not match. Pani Paani Puri (Gol Gappe) – 7 Pieces is not gol gappe. It is ragda puri. They don't give you potatoes with it. You get ragda. Imli chutney was authentic."

"Jaipuri Masala Bhindi Was Too expensive for the quantity. But everything was fresh and tasted good"
"4 DOSA BALL for a price of $9.99- such a scam. Also they were so oily, didn't eat after one bite, just small balls of potato, dosa batter was minimum, so call it potato balls! Moving on to the Rajouri Garden Chana Bhatura- really?! Has the chef eaten Rajouri Garden Chana Bhatura?? Not even close, to the taste. You should simply call it chana bhature, not Rajouri Garden Chana Bhatura, the taste is decent but the bhaturas somehow were bitter. They were very fluffy and to ny surprise not oily like the dosa balls, but there was a bitterness in them. But overall chana bhatura was decent-3.5/5. Comes with onion salad, pickle and raita."

"I ordered the fafra ghatiya and jalebi. Fafda and ghatiya are classic Gujarati besan snacks, the kind you eat with fried chillies and chutney, and jalebi is the customary sweet alongside. Both were good. Verdict: a good stop for a fafda and jalebi run."
"Jain Milan Thali is the best Gujarati Thali I have had in awhile. Came with 2 rotis and generous amount of paneer Bhurji ad Chhole. Everything was awesome, but the Daal was the bestt. Highly recommend it."

"Vada Pav( 2 pc ) is tasty as always."
"I’ve always loved ordering from Swaraj Food Truck, especially their vada pao, dahi puri, and pao bhaji. They’ve been my go-to for great Indian street food, but unfortunately, today’s experience wasn’t as enjoyable as usual.
The dahi puri, which is usually a favorite, was disappointing today. The golgappa/puris were very thin and different from the ones I typically get. As I added the ingredients, they started leaking and eventually everything was out from the bottom.
As for the vada pao, usually the best in the Bay Area, it was overly oily today. I could actually smell the oil, and the vada was too greasy. Couldn' eat it today.

"Anantara is one of our favorite Indian restaurants - they make very classic tasting South Indian food from Kerala. Were from Kerala and even family who visits us from Kerala absolutely love Anantara. We love it so much, we end up doordashing it on evenings we're missing traditional home cooked foods. Our favorites are Grandmas goat curry, Lamb Chukka, jackfruit cutlet, and karuveppilai shrimp (amazing). Their appams, parottas and dosas are very well made. Honestly, we haven't tried the biriyani yet (even though it's supposed to be amazing) because we can't help but order our favorites over and over again."
"Tiniest of portion sizes, very expensive and the taste is just ok, no consistency of taste between what they serve in the restaurant as against takeout. Nethili Fry was barely enough for one person, extremely overpriced, better off ordering from Other south indian restaurants for half the price"
