"There was a point in time Steak And Shake was good. That time has passed. Not a single employee takes pride in their work. I've tried to order twice and they forget to put half the food in the bag, take twice as long as the estimate, and the food that does make it in the bag is sloppy and thrown together so haphazardly it is barely food. Ordered the Frisco and it had so much sauce on it it was 90% sauce. Instead of building it correctly it was all slapped together and cold. Ordered a cup of chili and it was 2 normal spoonfuls of Chili that they charged $5 for and was cold. No fries in the bag, no drink. Dasher was at the restaurant for 45 min waiting for the order on top of it. Don't waste your time and money on this place."

"Look, the burger was okay, but just that. No more no less. I'm going to be detailed but respectful when I say this but this burger had no business being as expensive as it was. There was zero seasoning on this burger and if there was, I'm still not sure if it was in the room with us. Second, it's not a "restaurant" size burger. It's comparable in taste and size to the burgers mom makes at your 7th birthday swimming pool party, with the toppings ready on the side to assemble onto the burger. I got the vanilla shake too, and again, taste was fine but nothing crazy.

But the cost to portion sizing is bad for some items and abysmal for others. the sandwiches are about 8in for ~13 dollars. the combo with fries and a drink comes to about 18.50. which isnt great for a sandwich and fries but they are both delicious so its this side of acceptable.
DO NOT ORDER THE WINGS. the 6 Count Wings are the size of my thumb and over 2 dollars a wing. we used to sell suspiciously similar wings when i worked at papa johns. frozen and tiny, we used to sell them for 8 dollars which was a rip off even then. 13 dollars for the same piddly wings is a scam.
The drinks are advertised as 20oz bottles but they give you a 16.9oz bottle. i hope its just ignorance to their false advertising and not deliberate deceit.
