"I'm back again lol I ordered the original chocolate chip, triple chocolate chip, milk chocolate chip, and oatmeal deluxe cookies (group pictured in the order listed---I think at least---minus the oatmeal one). You would think there can't be much difference in chocolate chip cookies but there is! They're each great in their own subtle way---I can't even pick a favorite. But I'd say the original is super chocolatey, the triple chocolate is a nice switch-up from the average, and the milk chocolate has a slightly more muted sweetness so it's easy to just savor the whole thing; they all have the perfect combo of crunch and chewiness. I only got one cup of sauce (maybe 2 oz. size) with a large calzone, while the other large calzone we ordered got two cups. (This was fine...I ended up making my own marinara sauce to eat with the leftovers.)
The L Train calzone used beefsteak tomatoes, which generally aren't very flavorful, and there were maybe six chunks in the whole 16-18" calzone. It was 99% cheese. I don't think there was any ricotta in it at all. Very bland. Husband said the Prospect Park was also bland. It was a lot of food, but worth the money. "

I was excited to support Juliana’s Bakery & Sweets after hearing great recommendations about the cornmeal guava mini cakes. I walked there early in the rain specifically for those items and was told in person they were unavailable, with staff stating they are made every other day.
After returning home, I checked DoorDash and saw the exact same cakes available for pickup within 30 minutes, which was both confusing and frustrating. This meant I made a second trip back in the rain because the information I received in person did not match what was being offered online.
Additionally, my order included a vanilla cupcake with dulce de leche, which was unavailable, but instead of notifying me beforehand or allowing me to approve a substitution, the store made that decision without my consent.
While I appreciate the handwritten apology note, better communication, accurate inventory, and customer transparency are necessary. Customers deserve consistent information and the ability to make informed purchasing decisions.
