"I've lived in the area for over 20 years now, & have been searching for good authentic, tacos that didn't empty my wallet the whole time I've been here. Let me tell you, this is the place! I kid you not, I have ordered the birria tacos with consomé 14 times now within the past year. It's just THAT good! It's perfect & consistent every single time. Meat is always tender, tortillas are always crispy, the consomé is always delicious, and the cilantro & onions are always so fresh. It is the perfect portion to be super filling, & I almost always have a taco left over that reheats wonderfully! In the almost 20 times I've ordered from this restaurant, I haven't had a single problem with any of my orders. Our other favorites are the chicken enchiladas and the A-burrito (which is the size of a small toddler) & their salsa is also delicious! You can really see & taste the love put into this restaurant & these dishes. You can't beat those prices either! Thank y'all so much for always being a reliable way to keep my family's bellies full if I'm too tired to cook! Truly can't explain how much I appreciate this restaurant & their hard work! "Champurrado 20oz / Hot Chocolate was absolutely dreadful. Undrinkable. Seriously, a waste of almost 6 bucks.
Taco Camaron/Shrimp they need to do EITHER lettuce or cabbage not have it be an interchangeable option when you can't specify. Also lettuce is way worse when compared to cabbage on a shrimp taco. The shrimp came breaded but they shouldn't have been since it was marked as an option that wasn't selected.
Taco Barbacoa/Shredded Beef Taco Carnitas/Pork were both alright but not the best. All 3 tacos would have been much improved with better, fresher tortillas. The flour tortillas were kinda hard and stale.
Arroz y Frijoles con Queso / Rice & Beans with Cheese were fine. Chips y Pico was okay but salsa would have been better since it is actually dippable.
I was honestly pretty disappointed with the meal. It was much worse than previous visits to El Taco Veloz."
