"Normally the food is wonderful but I don’t know who they had in the kitchen today but the pancakes were not edible. They tasted like salt and they cut the portion that they normally give you in half so I paid the same price but got half the food."

"My Lawd!!! I used to go to Clyde's downtown and loved their fried chicken order three meats! Pork, fried chicken breast and wing and ribs with corn and Lima beans and fried okra with a side of skin! Everything was seasoned to perfection fresh and hot just like I remembered! Don't sleep on them bc they are in a renovated gas station! Makes City Bbq look like a fast food chain!"
"This was the absolute worst food I've had since living in Raleigh. Dry, bland, just slop on bread to be honest. Ordered a side of baked beans and received a condiment cup of bbq sauce...with two beans in it. There were random pieces of pork skins thrown into the bag..pretty certain I asked for fries and did not receive them. I was too upset to leave a review the actual day that I ordered from this place, but it was worth taking the time to come back and comment on all the reasons why it's a definite NEVER AGAIN for me."

"10/10 Absolutely delicious!
I’ve been searching for a really good soul food spot ever since I moved to Raleigh, and after trying a few places, Raleigh Soul is hands down my favorite!
My daughter ordered the Sticky Ribs with mac and cheese and greens, and she loved the ribs! I stole a few bites of her greens and immediately asked for some because they were THAT good! 😂
I ordered the Fried Salmon Platter with mac and cheese, yams, and cabbage, plus the Honey Butter Cornbread. Every single thing was seasoned so well. The salmon was crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and absolutely delicious. The cabbage was full of flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy, the yams were sweet and perfectly cooked, and that honey butter cornbread was the perfect finishing touch.
The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh, and you can tell the food is made with love. I’ll definitely be ordering again. Raleigh Soul has earned a loyal customer!"
"Gave me ALL drums. To add, they are salty as heck and barely have any sauce. Asked for peas and rice and they have us yellow rice. And I'm not sure they were running out of Mac and cheese or what but the amount they gave barely covered the bottom of the little compartment it was in. Meals definitely were t worth the price."

It's hard to find a place for some trustworthy brisket, and I'm happy we found this restaurant. I'd post pics, but everyone ate it all up before i got a chance. Lol Pics w next review, I guess. ^_*"

The BBQ sandwiches were Awesome as well. Sorry I didn't get a pic of those."
"Haven't been to Smithfield's in quite a while and I’m happy to say they’re still as good as I remember. Their bbq is classic and I can never decide on which sides to get. The baked beans and cole slaw go great with the bbq and the hush puppies are pretty big, I can never finish a whole bag in one night! I also got the popcorn shrimp side - I've never seen that on their menu but I am happy to say that they do that well, too.
The whole order came in a nice reusable bag - will def be using that!"

"The noodles quantity AND quality made it well worth the price. The Streetstyle Fried Noodles were spectacular and the Crispy Momo's dumplings were very tasty as well.
Do be warned: Despite there being two levels of spiciness above the regular "Spicy" option, it was HOT. I love spicy food, but it had me in a sweat."
"The MANGOLIAN CHICKEN - WITH WHITE RICE isn't too bad (good texture and amount) but flavor is lacking. Could be more savory.
The SZECHUAN FRIED RICE is probably the worst fried rice I've ever had. I'm not sure what it was — too soft and a bland, odd flavor (that somewhat reminded me of seafood despite it being chicken fried rice?)"

"In all of our 70 years on this earth, this is the absolute best, awesome bbq we have ever had and we've eaten a lot of bbq!! Not only was the BBQ and brisket awesome but all of the sides were super delicious as well!! The portions were excellent and prices are well worth it. We highly recommend this restaurant 👍"
"Price does not match the quality or flavor in the saddest way. I ordered a 3 meat plate and was honestly disappointed with all of it. The brisket tasted like pot roast, the smoked lamb was so tough and dry I couldn't even muster a second bite, the ribs were average at best, and their cornbread is so thin you'd have to stack them to get a normal sized piece from anywhere else not to mention it tastes like knock-off Jiffy mix. Do not recommend at all."

"I would have left only one star, but the meat is seasoned well. And although the chiken looks dry, it is not tough or chewy. The real problem is the portion is the chicken compared to the picture on the website an the small amount of fries that was given for the price. The best item was the salad with very good proportion. "Best wings truly...just moved to Brier Creek 2 wks ago and have ordered from this place 3 times, and they never miss with perfection."
"I loved the wings. The sauce was all over the wings. Best Sweet Chili Glaze Ever is an amazing flavor if you like sweet with a tad of spice. The fries were good as well. Not overly crispy but they were hot and seasoned good. The ranch was just how I like it. It did take a lil while to get to me so it wasn't 100% fresh but ik if I did a pick this would be a 10/10. The wings were good in side and not too chewy. I ate it all myself. I wish I got more fries tho."

"There's a young lady with glasses and I believe her mother who also has glasses that I believe runs the place. They are SO personable and make you feel like family. Their food is always consistent and perfectly cooked/seasoned. When I place pick up it is always on time. The portion size of the BBQ plate (my go-to) is perfect, I love the variety of sides. I've never picked up my order cold, or even warm, it's always hot and fresh. This place has become a regular place of mine, it's become comfort food. And such a fun place to hang out. The indoor and outdoor are both beautiful and always well kept. <3"
"SHACK SAMPLER PLATE is probably the best deal you can get right now in Raleigh. All my food was fresh and nothing was wrong with my items. It was all fresh and tasty. You get a good amount of food with all the different sides. Will order again! (pork BBQ was under the ribs in photo)"

"The Southern Bowl was scrumptious! Arrived on time still hot. Thank you to the driver. Grits were seasoned perfectly. Eggs sausage and potatoes were just the perfect complement to the meal. Delicious! "

"It was exactly what I was craving. The bulgogi was perfectly cooked and the japchae hit the spot!!! I will definitely be getting the Beef Bulgogi Box again!!!"
"Seafood Pancake was so-so in taste but not so much seafood in it. No dipping sauce (seasoned soysauce).
Seafood Soft Tofu Soup was one of, if not, the worst I've tasted. It heavily lacked seafood. All you get is 2 medium sized whole shrimps and 2 oysters. The soup had way too much perilla oil. All I smelled and tasted was perilla oil. It was very greasy. Took a few sip and tossed away.
I ordered because the owner of this place owned Seoul Garden (Raleigh) and thought the recipe would be similar but was I dead wrong.
And I personally find it a bit cheap not to offer any banchan (side dish) and charge you if you want some. That's pathetic.
I can't say anything about their grill but definitely would not order their dishes again."

"Don't sleep on this place! The regular fried chicken Golden Original Boneless are the tastiest boneless wings I have ever had. The breading is light, crispy, and delicious. It's not hard-hard crunchy, and seasoned super well. The Honey Garlic Wings have an AMAZING flavor, real garlic in the breading. The meat is tender and juicy! The Sweet Potato Fries are SO good! They didn't need any sort of aioli dip, just SO good. The portions are huge by the way, so don't let the price deter you."
"I had never had Korean bbq before I ordered here. This place is SLAMMIN GOOD! I will definitely order from here again and again. The boneless combo is actual pieces of juicy chicken, not just some chunks/nuggets. The flavor is amazing. Excellent food and great portions! "
