"I never write reviews, but I feel compelled to this time. The Braised Pork and Rice (Khoa Ka Moo) is the best I have tasted in a long, long time. Bone marrow? Check. Perfectly tender pork skin? Check. Meat marinated to perfection? Check! And the rice was perfect. With a dish like this, the rice can make or break it, because you can't really eat the pork without it. It's one of those basic thing that so many places screw up because it's hard to care about repetitive, simple things. Sokitchen cares, you can taste it. I have eaten many braise pork dishes, and this one feels like a fabled old family recipe. It might not be, but as I inhaled this dish, I could not help but imagine some grandmother smiling down on soKitchen from above. This is food at its best, I will be back for more. "I saw this place opened recently and wanted to check it out! Their Thai tea was yummy!! No complaints there, I liked it :) But the crispy chicken was moist, yet dry... it felt like they presliced the crispy chicken and then reheated it so the side on top dried out a little, which is disappointing since adding the crispy chicken was an additional $4. The actual Pad Thai noodles were tasty though! And lastly, the mango sticky rice was kind of a let down, the mango didn't taste "vibrant" if you know what I mean. It was just really sweet and didn't taste like much else, maybe it might have been too ripe or I was unlucky and got what wasn't the best mango in the bunch. The rice was slightly undercooked maybe? It had a couple crunches while I was eating. The box is also somewhat small given the price (in my personal opinion). All in all, it was still good, just some points I wanted to convey! Although, the spicy basil dish tastes exactly the same as the crispy pork and bok choy dish when you choose crispy pork option for your meat, so I'd choose a ground meat to go with it. The tom kha was decent but a little too sweet instead of savory. The chicken meat was a little dry/overcooked. Definitely not worth the $100 price tag when you order 4 dishes from here."

The rice tasted okay but I found that the chicken had a weird aftertaste and just tasted like it was too greasy. The crab Rangoons were not very good either but tasted alright with the duck sauce. The worst was the broccoli that was swimming in an overly spicy sauce. Also, broccoli from other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to has always been softer and tender, but this broccoli was too hard almost like it was not cooked properly. The little flavor it had was overpowered by the sauce. I ended up throwing away almost the entire thing and never finished the chicken. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant at all if you want a nice meal. For the quality of the food it is overpriced. "
