"Pernil Asado was tasty and the arroz con gandules was flavorful. The amount of food is not good for $30. I can get two meals for that price from other Spanish restaurants. I wanted to like this place but my Chuleta Can Can was overcooked and dry last order and this order has very small portions. I can't afford $35 a meal.
Almost $3 for mojo on the side is crazy when that should come with the meal."
"Overall, the food was very fresh and had good presentation. I ordered the Fried Pork Chops (Chuleta Frita). It came with white rice. The chops were nice portions. It tasted pretty good. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because there appeared to be little to no seasoning. Other than that, it was very good for the money too. "

"The sandwich is huge and one of my favorite things when in the mood for a great hot sandwich. My daughter loved the nachos and they are actually a bigger portion than expected, which was wonderful I got to pick off some too lol. Over all a Great meal soo worth the price for the amount of food we both got we have tons of left overs. We always order from here and will again !"
"This will be a bit long. The PECHUGA A LA COLOMBIANA was delicious as always. The chicken is always grilled to perfection in both entrees we purchased ( PECHUGA A LA COLOMBIANA and PECHUGA A LA PLANCHA)
and we were very happy with the freshnesss. We would always reorder them! The chicken portion is so large and it would honestly make two meals! We love that we can choose the two sides and don't need to order rice that we normally don't eat at all. This helps us make sure we are getting great value for our money! We will say though that $15 for the CAMARONES AL AJILLO is a bit too much for us, as there were only 6 shrimps total. However they were delicious. The PAISITA is great value because it has a large portion and has a delicious variety of food items. The chicken empanada was amazing and I can't wait to have another! Overall we were extremely happy with our order and would recommend this place all the time! Thank you!"

"Best Dominican food in Bayonne.. the sandwiches and small fried appetizers are always amazing. They make the best lemonade. And so affordable. I love this spot."
"I was disappointed with my meal overall. The Pernil / Roast Pork and Tostones were both very dry, and the Jugo de Mango was so tart that it was difficult to enjoy. I also expected more from the Chicken Soup / Sopa de Pollo—it contained one small potato and didn’t feel very hearty.
On a positive note, the Bistec Encebollado / Carmelized Onion Steak was delicious and full of flavor. The rice and beans were also very good, and the Maduros were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the dry meats and disappointing soup overshadowed the meal, so I don’t think I’ll be returning."

"Very flavorful! Although there is way more rice than meat I am a cook so I understand why... the cost of rice allows a business to serve more of it. Where as oxtails and pork is more expensive. This was very good so thank you! The Dulce de Dulce de leche / Sweet Milk is the only thing I would say disappointed me, I thought I was getting a Dominican cake of dulce de leche. "I love the grilled chicken 1/2 Pollo Al Carbon and the arroz chaufa. I was just a little down for the soda. The photo shows a bottle, I received a can. It's all good. "The food was very good and great price. I wish their bowls were better, the paper bowl for the Burrito Bowl was great choice, very flimsy. But they have an enormous portion in which I absolutely loved because the flavor was sooo awesome and cooked perfectly."
"Just another trendy spot with bad food. This was pretty brutal It's almost as if I was fed Mexican at a public school cafeteria . The steak birria tacos were bland stale and tough I couldn't even bite through it. The tortilla struggled to break apart which was concerning. The consume had some beef flavor, but not like any other birria almost felt like he was wearing a costume. Chips also stale. Tiny pico. The bowl tasted like I was eating halal guys x tacos it didn't really resemble Mexican food like I was craving. Really the only thing that the bowl had it going for was the sauces and the rice. Kind made me want to order actual lamb over rice, but was still disappointed. Not sure why the steak on that was tough. Paid $50 and I felt like I wouldn't even have paid a quarter of that. Felt like a rip off. The drinks were good , tasty sugar fix. Bogo isn't truly a BOGO glad I didn't get more. also, $12 for two tiny tacos that's nuts especially ones that were flavorless and tough. Maybe I was just fed old food. I don't know."

"The Pernil Family Meal + Large Rice & Beans + Side was an Amazing choice. The meat taste was soo flavorful and tender. The rice was cooked perfect and the beans were seasoned as deliciously. The portion was good, I would have liked a larger amount of bean but overall , LOVED IT!"
"I was excited to try Meson Tropical, but this order was disappointing. The food was packaged in foil trays and did not travel well, which affected the presentation and overall dining experience.
The biggest issue was the quality of the meats. The fried pork belly was extremely overcooked, dry, and tough to chew, and the meat in the mini Meson bowl was similarly overdone. Rather than tasting fresh and juicy, the meats seemed as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period. More importantly, the dishes lacked the bold seasoning and authentic Latin flavors I expected from a Puerto Rican/Dominican restaurant. The food was bland and did not have the homemade Caribbean taste that makes this cuisine special.
The Spring Meson Chicken Salad and Cod Fish were also underseasoned and uninspiring. The alcapurria was terrible—dry, flavorless, and nothing like a freshly made alcapurria should taste. The Passionfruit Mango Madness drink was forgettable and did not stand out. The stuffed potato ball was the only item I genuinely enjoyed.
Overall, the meal lacked consistency and flavor. I was expecting fresh, well-seasoned dishes that reflected the rich and vibrant tastes of Latin cuisine, but unfortunately this experience missed the mark. I hope improvements are made because the menu has a lot of potential."

"When you want to talk authenticity, these Alcapuria took me back to the Puerto Rico. Almost like grandma made it. Amazing taste full of meat, they sure arent having a shortage of food there lol them bad boys fully loaded."
"For the past 7 months, I've been getting the Medio Pollo / Half Chicken with sweet or green plantains, potato salad or a green salad.
The food is nicely flavored, cooked well and very importantly, made fresh!
Since the potato salad is made fresh, with natural ingredients, so it's milder in flavor than the unhealthy ones I was used to, but it's a staple for me.
Also, the staff is very polite and kind."
