"Shallot is the best Thai restaurant in the area. The food is phenomenal - I've never had a bad meal from there - and the staff are friendly and professional. Now that they're back, I hope that Thai Shallot remains a fixture in our community for many years to come.
Though I've tried many of their dishes over the years, I always come back to the Pad Thai Country Style (doesn't matter what protein you get; my favorites are tofu and shrimp). The Seafood Madness is phenomenal, Crazy Noodles are quite good, and the Thai Custard with Sticky Rice is hands down the best dessert I've had at any restaurant anywhere EVER. I was in withdrawal from that dessert for the time that Shallot had closed and had even tried to make it myself (that did not work out very well).
If you're looking for an amazing Thai dinner at a decent price (and excellent value for the price), Thai Shallot should definitely be on your radar!"

The mango was perfectly sweet and fresh, and the sticky rice was soft, rich, and full of flavor. I was craving it today, and it completely satisfied every bite was amazing. The tempura shrimp was overpriced for only two pieces, costing just over 11 dollars, and was neither fresh nor appealing. I am highly disappointed. The chicken fingers tasted of old oil and batter, and the vegetables served alongside the tempura shrimp were also greasy and stale. The Crab Rangoon contained no seafood or meat filling and was neither sweet nor salty, lacking any real flavor. Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied after spending over 100 dollars on food that seemed reheated, leftover, and poorly prepared. I will never spend another cent at this restaurant. If I could feature this place on a food show to expose its flaws, I would. The terrible taste of the food makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. Save your money and order from elsewhere. As a first-time customer, this was my last visit to this restaurant. "

When the food was delivered, the soup had spilled all over the bag because of the poor packaging. The meat also had an old, unpleasant smell, and the broth tasted heavily loaded with MSG.

Lots of fresh vegetables, fried vegetarian egg rolls, and tofu. For utensils, they give you chopsticks, spoon, and a toothpick - which is so important (in my opinion). Put it all together and it makes for a very delicious bowl and I thought it was decently priced as well for the portion size."

The soy sauce situation was ridiculous. Instead of providing individual packets, they poured what was literally just a few drops into a tiny container, as if soy sauce costs a thousand dollars.
Overall, I would not recommend this place. The food quality was disappointing, and the portions of basic condiments were unacceptable."

"My order was received missing the Wonton Soup , which is honestly the only thing I truly wanted. I ordered a chicken dish, 5. Hong Sue Gai, that was described as having breaded chicken amongst rice and veggies with brown sauce... but it was literally chicken fingers golden fried to add to a mix of mostly bok choy. The sauce was brown, but totally not flavorful. I had asked to add spice and that wasn't done.
Good things- the Crab Rangoon are decent. The crunchies to go into the soup that didn't come were good. The veggies were healthy and fresh. Portion is very large.
Overall, the missing soup made me rate them with less than a like, which is what this food would typically be. I might order them again, but would just order different things. I did get a DoorDash refund for the soup."
