It was my first time ordering here, so I asked for no cabbage (just a personal preference), so I'm not sure if it's normally included. Instead, the dish was loaded with garlic, scallions, and dried chilies. The beef portion was very generous. The broth is absolutely addictive. You've been warned. I'll definitely be dreaming about this dish!
My only complaint is the packaging. It was packed in a standard entrée container instead of a larger soup container. They made an effort to wrap it in plastic before sealing it with the lid, but a noticeable amount of broth still leaked into the bag. It wasn't enough to keep me from ordering it again though. Of course if they are too cheap to give you white rice, you can bet they didn't include a fortune cookie or soy sauce with the order. "First time trying this restaurant and I was quite honestly shocked! I ordered the rare steak & well done brisket (I'm normally a seafood pho girly) and it was great! Broth was well flavored and not sweet, which is great because i am not a sweet broth fan. I have not had good pho in arizona until here - nothing has remotely gotten close to my fav pho restaurant in CA, but this was close! I also had the soft spring rolls which were also great - loved the sauce. I will DEFINITELY be a returning customer and hopefully I can come by and dine in. So, expect $3.50 on top that $13.95 not including taxes and tip yet. You get A LOT of noodles and very little chicken. The chicken was shredded-like and damn near blended in with the noodles. It was mainly noodles. You barely get any garnishes that comes with a general pho dish. I wont order again because I feel like I paid way more than I should for what I got. Which the place I go to gives you plenty of chicken, garnishes, and sauces that do not come in condiment packets as this place served it. I got two packets. One hoisin sauce and a chili sauce. It did nothing because theres hardly anything in the packet. No limes. Only a stem of peppermint leaves, very very few green onions and white onions. The white onion was so potent. There are 2 slices jalapenos, and a few bean sprouts. Thats it! My dish looked nothing like the pic they advertised. You'll see in my pic, that is it of garnishes. I circled the chicken in one pic, and the pic with the fork shows the chicken. You basically paying for a broth with noodles. I'll stick to my pho place I've been using. I recently have started to add Bánh que Chấm to my order to also share with my friend. I usually pick the matcha creme (to go with my matcha drink). I still have to work on my pronunciation, but I love the cute way it is all prepared in the cup and ready to share. its a nice light snack, perfect for a midday pick-me-up!
