"I got the 3 Meat, 3 Sides Platter Combo because it was bogo. I requested all items to be separate due to photos in reviews where items had spilled over. The restaurant followed the instructions. Portions were big and hearty. The freshness was varied but to be fair I ordered late at night. So maybe it would have been fresher earlier.
Food reviews:
Fried Okra- softer than I prefer but the batter and flavor were good it just needed to be fried a bit longer.
Potato salad- super runny but good flavor. Typical potato texture but would have been better if was thick and not runny.
Baked Beans- also extremely runny and the flavor profile was terrible. It tasted more like pinto beans cooked in a ham bone.
Macaroni- other reviews said flavorless but I disagree. There was quite a bit of flavor to it but again it was runny. Almost like noodles in queso.
Corn on the Cob- this tasted maybe like it was grilled flavor was alright but it just tasted like corn not buttery or seasoned but was obviously frozen
Chopped brisket- large portion but I can see where the other reviews compared it to beef jerky. Not in texture or dryness but flavor profile. It wasn't especially soft or greasy.
Pulled pork- this was more like chopped pork than pulled. Not the traditional pulled apart style like a cheese stick but chunks of meat. Flavor was ok but not what you'd expect.
Riblets- these were the best meat hands down. Prepared correctly with good flavor and the perfect char.
Bbq Sauce- we got hot honey on all of our meat as the sauce. It tasted more like just honey bbq. The sauce was a super small portion and poured on top of the meat. I would recommend the restaurant send the sauce in portioned cups rather than on the meat."

The cornbread was a massive portion with 5 pieces given to me but it was extremely dense and dry. Also don't understand the 4 slices of plain white bread in addition but that was also a lot compared to what I got as the mains.

"The new dynamite sweet and sour chicken (I think?) was actually really good. It comes with hot sauce on the side and we ate half of it before we even considered using it. The items we typically order (chow mein, Beijing beef, orange chicken) were all as good as usual. Panda at this location especially is very consistent: you know what you're getting, the order is accurate and if you like Panda Express you'll be pleased. "I had the 2 piece chicken, greens, mac, and sweet potato pie. The chicken was juicy and the seasoning was perfect. This is my first time eating there... I normally get Mrs Whites.. or another place near by that food went down hill after they built the new restaurant and became a chain. But... Gus' food is really good and fresh... I recommend eating there. My only complaint was that my sweet potato pie was so tiny. I dont mind a smaller portion but for $4... it wasnt worth it. But... overall slamming food."
"The portion is great, gets you super full and satisfied with some to save for lunch the next day. The food was amazing, and smelled fresh, very juicy and delicious, a blessed Sunday home-cooked dinner. The only down side was missing 1 of 4 pieces of chicken but who knows maybe the driver was hungry or it was an honest mistake. Over all wonderful & great food!"
