Since the rice was shared amongst 2 people, we only had 2 Tablespoons of rice each to go along with out medium Pinakbet and medium Lechon Letchon Kawali. The dishes were noticeably heavy-handed with salt and oil, which overwhelmed the overall flavor profile and made it difficult to appreciate the intended savory and umami notes of the dishes. The food also did not taste particularly fresh.
The Shanghai lumpia was especially disappointing in texture. Rather than having the crisp, delicate exterior I would expect, it was soft, somewhat soggy, and quite greasy. The adobo had potential, but the seasoning and oiliness made the flavors feel unbalanced.
Overall, the restaurant has a lot going for it, particularly the variety, reasonable pricing, portions, and friendly service. However, the execution of this particular order did not meet my expectations or personal preference for fresher, more balanced, and less oily food."

"This place is consistently great. The Beef Chow Fun had lots of slices of super tender, flavorful beef, crispy bean sprouts and green onions, and chewy noodles. This is one of the last Chinese restuarants to offer a Chinese Chicken Salad and it's delicious. I like that they give you the dressing on the side so the lettuce and breaded chicken both stay crispy. And the sweet and sour Sweet & Sour Pork is a delicious standby. "Everything we got was super yummy and packed with flavor. I had the combination with the garlic chicken and bbq pork. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken combination and we had a side of egg rolls along with an order of egg foo young. Oh boy, my garlic chicken was delicious and super garlicky I absolutely loved it. The BBQ pork was so flavorful and the portions of each were quite nice as well. My husband let me try his sweet and sour chicken which was also quite tasty and to his delight did not have loads of fruit and veggies in it like other places in the area. The egg rolls were small, more like spring rolls however they were still packed with flavor. The egg foo young comes in 3 patties which may not seem very large at first glance but these things are dense! You can get them smothered in gravy or on the side we had it smothered and it was wonderful. I am probably repeating myself but every bite was packed with so much flavor, it was such an enjoyable time eating! Everything got to us super quickly and was nice and hot as well."
