"Food was tasty. The problem was that I wanted to order a side of beans to make my son something different at home. In the menu options they have the option in the sides for either beans or rice but it does not dive the option to choose which one you want nor the option to add special accommodation. My husband picked up my order and upon arriving my husband checked to make sure everything was accurate in the bag and noticed they packed a side or rice. My husband kindly asked a worker if she could switch the rice to beans since we wanted beans. She rudely said you ordered rice. The Fajitas (steak) were really good. The steak was incredibly tender. It wasn't overly flavorful, but still very good. The veggies were a little on the mushie side, but still good. The refried beans, although a tiny amount were good. They have a different sort of tangy flavor that I have never had before. And the rice was good, but a bit salty. The Churro with Ice Cream was a little bit of a disappointment. The one scoop of ice cream, if you really can call it that, was teeny tiny. The churros were fairly standard and they didn't have any chocolate drizzle like they show in the pictures. The Habanero Sauce was very hot. Not entirely flavorful though. The dishes are not large for the price range. If you are expecting the large amounts of food you typically receive from a Mexican restaurant then this is not it.They also use A LOT of oil in their dishes. It was a little much. Nonetheless, the food was good and we would order from them again. "

"Maybe I am off here but aren't nachos supposed to have cheese? The only cheese I could find on the nachos was the extra shredded cheese I ordered and paid for. The carnitas on the nachos were flavorful but dry. The chunks of pure fat were gross. The chips were run of the mill, not good, store bought tortilla chips that didn't taste fresh. The side of Avocado was fine, but for the price you only get half of a small avocado. Not worth it. The Quesadilla with Cheese was flavorless. Whatever cheese they used was bland. They also don't use much, so if you want cheesy goodness, this is not the place for that. They are evidently really stingy when it comes to cheese. Also, I prefer the restaurants that make their quesadillas with butter. It gives them so much more flavor. While the Grilled Onions/Peppers were good, the onions were undercooked. They give you three salsas but they barely put anything in the tiny 1-2 oz. container. But the flavor and spice level of the salsas are good. The Hibiscus drink was good, but they are stingy on the ice. So, that could go either way in whether you think it's good or bad. At least it is not watered down, but if you were looking forward to a cold drink then forget about it. Maybe I am spoiled, growing up with a Hispanic grandma, but this food just was not good."

I ordered the Fire Grilled Chicken with the 4 Piece {Last time ordering it was the 3 Piece} Today I ordered from El Pollo Loco once again ordering the 4 Piece Fire 🔥 Grilled 🍗. It comes with 4 Piece Fire Grilled 🐓 Chicken {Legs, Wing, & Thigh}, 4 Flour Tortillas, Tortillas Chips and mild salsa , and I ordered a Large Coca Cola for this wonderful tasting meal. I guess the Chickens this time have had enough because you have El Pollo Loco and Angry Chickz 😂😂. For the 2 sides, I chose the corn for my sides choices. It also comes with a bag of Tortilla Chips and Salsa. FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN {4 Piece}: 2 Legs and 2 Thighs Fire grilled just right with the right amount of charred on the skin. Good flavor and arrived hot . 2 sides (corn) were hot too, very good! The whole meal was good "

"I have been a fan of Pollo Loco for its freshness and quantity of the end product for many years now. For the last six months I've tried my best to stay with this eatery but I've given too many excuses and have been silent too long. I'm sure I am not alone on this opinion. I always used to order the Three piece meal until the chicken began to shrink. I now order the Four piece meal they've renamed Four piece Half Chicken Meal to create the atmosphere you're getting a lot of chicken. We know this is a lie. They not only mislead you to be believe it's one price when you find out you need to pay more if you want the breast (white meat). This in itself is a joke as you are supposed to get 4 pieces of chicken when you actually get two breast pieces that equal the quantity of 1 piece breast once you take it apart. A majority of the meat is either bones or dried up chunks of chicken. The other two pieces they give are wings that looked like they belonged to a Zombie chicken because it looked dark and dehydrated. There was not one piece of edible chicken on the wings! One last negative was the item cart each restaurant has that make the meal such as different types of salsa, onions, extra whole chiles and especially the Cilantro are no longer accessible through DoorDash. You have no options to request these extra items and there is never enough salad dressing given (which sometimes is watered down) so when ordering salads rest assured you will end up with a dry salad! The sad thing about this is that I'm not describing a bad DoorDash day, it happens every time I go to this restaurant! Most successful eateries are still around because they remain different compared to your everyday fast food joints. I certainly hope that Pollo Loco decides to turn around from becoming a generic fast food joint. Stop over cooking and drying up what used to be juicy, smoky natural chicken that melts in your mouth!! Bring back the greatness you proudly served before."
