"To the point. CHICKEN OVER RICE had very dry chicken. Beef Samosas was $3.50 for 1 piece. (2.5" x 2.5" traingle) Definitely not worth it. Finally, PRIIME SMASH BURGER had funny smelling meat (as if it was sitting out for a while before hitting the grill) and funny tasting. Didnt help that the lettuce was old and soggy. (Pic)"
"Love their chicken over rice!!! Very convenient, filling, and good price. Burgers are a little bit pricey but how it's available late and it's halal quality meat along with convenience makes up for it. I disagree with those saying the burgers are old tasting or bad meat; the seasoning is just different."

"amazing. masala chai has a nice film on it and it blew me away. lamb is so crazy tender and the cheese naan was ok idk i never had that before so that was me trying something new i wasn't really a fan but not bc it was made wrong it tasted really good the cheese garlic naan but only by itself really bc with the curry and rice it was too much going on for me. anyways. here i am monologing. It was amazing you guys killed it"
"Biiiiig fan of the Palak Paneer, it's sweeter than other varieties I've had but I love it. Garlic Naan was very large and delicious and soft. "I've lived in Philadelphia for over 15 years and am finally done looking for my go-to for take out Indian. All the dishes we ordered were seasoned well and appropriately for the different types of vegetables and curries. Often, I find from other restaurants that all the dishes taste the same. At Taste of Punjab, the Palak Paneer, Dal Tadka, Bhindi Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala all had different complex flavor profiles and were devoured. Also, the Garlic Naan was fluffy and delicious. I will be ordering from here again and again. Tasted just like mama makes at home! You won't be disappointed!"

"Was really missing the closedown of the Blue Bell location so I ordered here. Butter Chicken was cheap and super filling, Garlic Naan was cooked well. Packaging was still hot after 20 minutes! Mango Lassi was very refreshing. The chicken was very large chunks and the amount given was larger than other places. I will order from here again in the future."
"My goodness! This restaurant instantly became one of my favs! The Butter Chicken was delicious (very grateful that it came with some rice) and the Naan was delicious as well! The serving size was also wonderful for the price! Definitely ordering from here again!"

"Butter chicken is consistently good. Good flavor, mild spice level. The Veggie Samosa are crispy and flavorful. "
"The Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) had an odd smell to it, followed by something that didnt taste like Butter Chicken to me. There was also about 10 small bitesized pieces of chicken that was not worth $18 - I've gotten much larger portions for less $$ at other restaurants.
Both of the ice creams were severely frost burned, with hard ice covering the containers. When I got the lids off, the ice cream looked old, frost burned and like it had previously melted and was refrozen. It was just all so sad in the end..."

"The Tandoori Wings, Butter Chicken Pizza, and Garlic Sticks W/ Cheese all three dishes had great flavor. The wings were well seasoned and with good chunks of meat. The Butter Chicken Pizza had the perfect balance of flavors (I found some of the other pizzas to be spicy). And the Garlic Sticks W/ Cheese was crispy, crunchy, and cheesy.
This place is also BYOB. Can't wait to try out this fast casual restaurant in person. "
"The tandoori chicken pizza was not worth the money. There was barely any chicken and no sauce. So it was pretty much cheese and small bits of chicken. I ordered a large size pizza , but they're large is the size of a medium size pizza. I would not order from them again. So many Pizza shops are in the area. Why order from a place that overcharges gives you so little in exchange."

The Fish Curry too me right back home.
I hope the chefs are appropriately compensated."

"Venn Pongal's quantity has been increased since my previous review. It is okay in quantity now for the price. The food is very good and overall a very good Indian restaurant in the city!"
"The Kothu Parotta and the Masala Dosa were absolutely delicious- they're always our go to orders when are at Amma's/get takeout from them . Flavorful and filling. The Masala Dosa is definitely better served at the restaurant because the filling is kept separate from the dosa and after delivery time, the dosa is not as warm. Still, flavors are great. The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly. "

"As always the Kashmiri Naan was excellent. They even put a sizeable amount of raisins in it. I'm happy, because I luv raisins.
The Vegetable Samosa were excellent also.
I did not like The Veggie Pakora. I'm sure it was air fried because It was not crispy-It was kinda soft. A mouthful of mush"
"I order from (or dine at) Saffron in Bala Cynwyd sometimes. This is a different Saffron completely, and not as good. Samosas are very salty outside and mushy inside. All of the sauces are quite runny. The flavors aren't bad, so maybe it's better when it's not so late at night?"

"The flavor of food is good, however the portions are very small for the amount that you pay. I've paid $20 for a whole tandoor chicken, theirs is $20 for 2 legs... the bowls with the main course are super small... i spent close to $100 for meal that prob should have cost $40 based on the amount of food."

"The drinks and croissants are delicious. Highly recommend. The pistacchio latte is so good. However the description for the croissant says it's filled, and it's not. "Veggie Samosa was amazing.. Cauliflower Manchurian was good, different from the Gobi Manchurian I'm used to, but still tasty. Rice was perfect!!

"First off, it is an, for me, expensive restaurant. however given it's location prices are probably right.
I ordered the Seafood Alfredo, and it was totally worth the price. The only thing I would change is to take the tails off the shrimp. I really don't like eating a great meal and having to stop to remove tails, lol. Then your fingers are covered in the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had, and I've had plenty from different resturants, lol.
From the moment I took the lid off and the awesome smell hit my nose my mouth started watering. Then my taste bugs thought they were in heaven with each bite.
i HIGHLY recommend you give it a try.
I did think the rolls that came with it were over cooked to a dark brown.
I also ordered the Beer Battered Onions Rings. I also thought they were over cooked to a dark brown. The onions were mush, but they were good enough to eat, I don't think I'd order them again. However, as a treat, I'd definitely order many times.
Thank you for reading my review, I hope it helps. Have a great night."

"Not sure if this is my first public review but the Butter Chicken [NF, GF] ... absolutely phenomenal. Everything was so fresh, super mild spice. I thought the portion size was great, for myself at least (I am also pregnant lol) so take from that what you will. "The Shrimp Biryani is so flavorful and spicy, and the Mango Lassi is sweet and has a nice semi-thick consistency. Leaves a great impression on the taste buds, it is my favorite place to eat in philly!"
"I was highly disappointed in the quantity and quality of the food. This is my go to if I'm craving Indian food. The Garlic Naan and Gulab Jamun were burnt!!!! In addition, the portions have gotten extremely smaller. On top of that, my daughter's Chicken Tikka Masala was mostly tomatoes. Flavor awesome, but where's the chicken?
