"This is the 2nd time I've ordered the fish plate from the Southern Chef. The fish is good, but again, there were no hushpuppies, slaw, pickles, tarter sauce, onion, dessert, and the sides I picked were cold. This was at the new one in Brookland again. They didn't give me a choice of which one they brought it from. Both times, I ordered early enough that they shouldn't have been out of anything. There really is no excuse for leaving out the extras every time. The evening staff is just not good at their jobs. They would do well to replace them."

The problem was that the steak was very sweet. It wasn't from syrup, the pancakes came plain and dry with the butter and syrup in packets. I don't know if the steak was cooked next to something sweet or if it is part of the seasoning used, but I could not eat it. If you like candied meat, you may like them, but be prepared to check your sugar levels after.
