"This was our second day in a row, ordering from here. OMG! Yes, it is that good. We ordered the 1/2 rack beef rib dinner the first time, ribs were tender, flavorful. Sides did not disappont either. We tried their St. Louis ribs and those delicious sides this time. Again all on point. To finish off an amazing dinner they have great banana pudding and warm peach cobbler. "A couple of years ago I left an average review for Robert Earl's. In a rare occurrence I actually had the owner reach out to me and offer a free meal upon my return, which instantly made me a fan because it says how important a customer centric experience is to his business.
I felt bad that I live in Sacramento and hadn't had a chance to return to Robert Earl's in a significant amount of time but I was committed to returning based upon the owners desire to satisfy a customer.
In full transparency, I didn't accept the free meal offered by the owner (I sincerely appreciated the jesture) as I didn't want it to in any way impact my review. I'm happy I returned, it wasn't only good it was EXCELLENT!! The ribs and the rib-tips were cooked to perfection, VERY tender and favorable. The sauce is sweet with a hint of heat which is excellent as it doesn't overpower the flavor of the meat. The Greens were tender, the bake beans were good and didn't taste like they had soaked in the restaurants BBQ sauce. But the real star is, as it should be, the BBQ!! Everything else after that is a bonus!!
I HIGHLY recommend Robert Earl's, and will ALWAYS make an effort to eat there whenever I'm in Southern, Ca.

"I did ask for UTENSILS to be added but they were not incuded in my bag. But, I'm letting it slide because the food was so good. The MACARONI & CHEESE was kind of mid but what you would expect, add a lil seasoning & It'll be good. I ended up getting the LUNCH BUILD YOUR OWN BAR-B-QUE COMBO - PICK 2 with Alabama Chicken w/ Bama BbQ sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Rib tips w/Sauce. It was so very good and exta sauces came in the order. It also came with biscuits and honey butter and they were a nice addition to the meal. As someone from Bama, the white bbq sauce was good. So was the LUCILLE'S SIDEWALK FRESH LEMONADE I got the peach flavor and it tasted like I was eating a peach in Georgia. The LUCILLE’S ONION STRAWS were so freaking good and that sauce that comes with it is a perfect pair, they were also good with some of the extra bbq sauce. Would definitely eat here again!"

The Pitmaster Combo is a lot of food. All the meats are nicely seasoned, smokey and tender. The bbq sauce is on point. Just wish they didn't forget my EXTRA BBQ SAUCE. "I called to ask for no BBQ sauce and the person on the phone was friendly and happy to oblige. My order arrived with BBQ sauce on the side.
The portions are great. I couldn't wait to take a bite. The brisket was too firm. The had brisket from everywhere and this was not good. A good brisket feeds without breaking and melts in your mouth. This was a tough over cooked thick cut of meat.
Similar review on the ribs. These pork ribs felt more like beef ribs. They were tough and had to enjoy. Good pork ribs should fall off the bone and easy to eat, this was not that.
