"I wish I would've took pictures of the condiments first, but they barely gave me anything at all. There was small lemons, smaller than the size of my palm. It barely squeezed out any juice and for the onions there was about a pinch in each bag and there was only three bags so not even enough for all my tacos. The tacos were extremely small and bland. definitely not the best value for the tacos based on the price, especially because they didn't add enough sides to give the tacos the flavor it deserved. "Food quality was great across the board
The Seared Eel with Miso Cream Cheese is a must-order; the eel sauce paired with the miso cream cheese feels light on your tongue, but packed with flavor. The Salmon Toro* melts in your mouth (to the right of the Southern Bluefin Toro* in the photo) and the Seared Salmon Toro* is a slightly tougher but smoky bite. The Southern Bluefin Toro* was great, but be mindful that it only comes with one piece as shown in the photos.
I hadn't tried Fried Takoyaki before, but the creamy octopus filling was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. It's a solid hot dish if you like something milder in flavor.

I ordered my food online and realized after I got there that I forgot to add cheese to my tacos. No big deal—I told the guys at Tacos Mi Rey, and without hesitation they gave me a bag of cheese along with fresh toppings for my tacos. That’s the kind of customer service that keeps people coming back.
The food is always fresh, they’re fast, and they’re open late when you need them most. In my opinion, this might be the best taco spot in LA County. Skip Taco Mexico and the other spots down the street—come to Tacos Mi Rey instead.
They even have chairs outside so you can sit and enjoy your food with your family, your friends, or your lady. The place is clean, the service is excellent, and the food never disappoints.
