The samosa chaat street food blew our minds there was so much goodness going on, the variety in texture, temperature, taste was all there - and I was delighted to find a paneer biryani - something most Indian restaurants don’t bother to offer. I’m a traditionalist - I’m always happy to find whole cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, plums and tamarind in my biryanis. Even the side dish of jasmine rice is tasty. Makes we want to go back and try the desserts. I would compare the food of Taj to the upscale Indian restaurant in Red Bank, Bombay River, with more options and not as expensive. Just a delight. "I ordered the hibachi steak dinner and it was an absolute disappointment. The steak was gray, completely unseasoned, and had no flavor whatsoever. It looked like it was taken straight out of the package and rushed onto the grill with zero care or effort.
The rice, noodles, and vegetables were just as bad , bland, watery, and completely tasteless. I ended up having to re-cook the entire meal myself just to make it edible, which is ridiculous considering I paid over $30 for this.
On top of that, the portion was shockingly small. Everything came packed into a tiny container that looked more like a lunch combo than a full dinner. I honestly feel scammed.
This was one of the worst takeout meals I’ve ever had. The quality, flavor, and value were all unacceptable. I would not recommend ordering from here."
