"The Dr. Russell was a HUGE heap of flavorful food! Get this if you're extra hungry! Kinda spicy, tons of red onion, crispy wontons, and sauce piled on top of some delicious rolls. The honey walnut prawn roll was absolutely perfect, and also a large portion, but my 9 yr old just devoured the whole roll...excuse me while I go order another.

"Rolls are really heavy on the rice. They come out looking incredibly huge but it's 60% rice. The rice ends up becoming a foundation for the roll to sit upon.
Aside from having a ton of sauce on everything, there's no variation to flavor or structure.
Shrimp tempura inside is hard and chewy and tastes a lot like the Kirkland frozen Shrimp Tempura. Like it's not even from JFC's frozen lineup, which is pretty good for frozen. The unagi on top of the Large Dragon and Millionaire rolls were very little. It's missing the fluffy charred meat that the best part of having unagi. Then the tuna on the Princess roll was only on half of the roll with an uneven cut compared to the unagi next to it.
It's definitely American-style. But rather expensive for huge rolls of rice.
There is nothing wrong with the *quality* of the ingredients themselves (except for the tempura shrimp). It is simply the construction of the rolls themselves are lacking in variation and needs less rice."

"Manpreet delivered my order on time and spill free. Ono Hawaiian BBQ packed the order securely. Food was plentiful, hot, and tasty. the Hawaiian BBQ Beef was tender and well flavored with no gristle. Mac salad was creamy and just the right amount of onion. the BBQ chicken was tender and flavorful. The Teriyaki Chicken was tender and had just the right amount of sauce. The Crispy Shrimp (6 pcs) were crispy and tender and the Crab Rangoon (6 pcs) was crispy and had a good blend of crab and cream cheese. This is my second time ordering from Ono via Doordash and second problem free, perfect order."
"Lukewarm 2.5/5. The portions were great, there was a lot of food! However, it was dry, no sauce to mix in the rice. The beef was full of HUGE chunks of fat. The best thing about these meals was the tiny scoop of macaroni salad. This was our first time trying Ono bbq, and we won't be in a hurry to try it again."

"We just moved from Tracy to Manteca and we didn't want to drive to Tracy just to have sushi, so we were on the hunt for a local place to become our new favorite. We went to Matsu Sushi first because it seemed to have the best reviews and the type of special sushi rolls we like to get and I was not disappointed. We ordered the 5. Philadelphia Experiment and a roll with soft shell crab tempura inside and eel sauce that I forgot the name of... both were delicious. The fish smelled fresh (no fishy smell) and tasted clean too. We dined in but arrived around 5-10 minutes before 2:00 and told the server (may have also been the owner or manager) that we just wanted to start with the 2 rolls and our drinks but were told that if we wanted anything else we would have to order it at that time because they were taking last orders to prepare for closing at 2:30 until dinner. We felt a bit rushed at that point (but it ended up being plenty of time for the two of us to eat 2 rolls) and customers who arrived around 2:15 were turned away. At the very least, I think they could have offered that customer the option of ordering "to go", but they didn't even get the opportunity to say whether they wanted take out or dine in. I feel it would be better just to say you close at 2:00 and plan on 30 minutes to close out customers and lock up rather than saying you close at 2:30 when you actually stop taking orders before that. We usually like the option to order additional rolls when we eat sushi because it's hard to know how filling it will be if you haven't eaten there before and sushi does not make good leftovers if you over order, but it's not a big deal now that I know when they stop taking orders...I just won't go there after 1:30 for lunch. However, I can see this being frustrating for customers who get turned away or rushed through a meal, so I thought I'd mention it. The service was quick though and the rolls were tight and held up to dipping into soy with chopsticks without falling apart and losing half the rice. I've returned twice by myself, once for dine in and once for takeout, because I kept craving the 5. Philadelphia Experiment since my husband got the lions share of it the first time. It's a Philadelphia Roll (salmon, cream cheese, cucumber) that is tempura'd and deep fried, then topped with spicy tuna. All of the ingredients are raw and cold aside from the tempura coating which was warm enough to just slightly soften the cream cheese and make the bite have an addictive creaminess. I really loved all the different textures in this roll. I will warn against getting any rolls with tempura for take out or delivery though and recommend dine in for those. I only live 8 minutes away and arrived for pickup before my order was even complete and it still lost the crisp texture on the tempura and the tempura wasn't warm anymore so I learned my lesson, but I can't fault a restaurant for that. I even went as far as to open the plastic take out lid (it wasn't vented) so steam could escape in an attempt preserve the texture, which I'm sure helped a lot, but it wasn't enough. Dining in has cheaper prices anyway, so it's worth it if you like the tempura rolls or even regular tempura shrimp and veggies. I'm looking forward to returning again with my husband and trying something new next time. It's a place I will definitely recommend to family and friends if I don't take them there myself and I'm happy to have found quality sushi locally."
