"The food at Negril was exceptionally fresh and bursting with flavor—a true testament to authentic Jamaican cuisine. Every bite was delicious, with perfectly balanced spices that brought the dishes to life. To top it off, the soursop drink was a refreshing treat, the perfect compliment to the meal. "
"The fish sandwich is the perfect portion for lunch. It is well seasoned and extremely flavorful. The coco bread adds another layer of flavor. If you're considering it, just do it, it's delicious 😋"

"Omg this was the best jerk I had since sweet mangoes I literally sat here and ate all of my small dark jerk rice and peas cabbage didn't really dive in the Mac and cheese but i could have went for the larger portion to save for later because this was too good fulfilling as well wasn't expecting that to be on point like it was I wish I could leave a picture I could not stop after I actually said my grace and took that first spoon full!!!! "I am shocked at the reviews. This is my go to place. Actually, the only carribean place I support in the DMV that actually have tender oxtails. The flavor is in every bite. Not to mention when I order cocoa bread or brown stew chicken, everything is fresh and taste good. They have been out of jerk wings lately when I go but they were tasty too. This place had me try curry goat and I been hooked every since. I live in SE so even when I order doordash, my plate looks good, smell good and taste good. These are my people I consider family now because I was giving up when I found out Negril by HU had closed."

"I always eat this on weekdays but this weekend l decided to order it for lunch at work and it's perfect! The rice and beans are moist and delicious and the oxtail is soft and falls off the bone and it is sooooo tasty. No wonder l keep ordering. Love it!"
"The curry goat.. I'm so disappointed. The flavor is NOT there. And they gave me a small portion in the side dish cup of the tray!! At least they're tender. The jerk chicken doesn't even taste like jerk chicken and it's dry. I paid extra for curry vegetables and while I don't think they taste anything like curry, they're the best thing in this order. Won't order again. Waste of money."

"This was delish. The Half Jerk Chicken is enough to feed two people. We got the cabbage and macaroni cheese, which is macaroni pie, there's a difference but it was soo good. The chicken has a good jerk kick to it, so you may need a drink for the heat but the cabbage has a hint of sweetness which is unique but paired very well. I would definitely order again. "
"As a born and bred island girl, I value authenticity in Caribbean restaurants. This blew my mind. I had the Jerk shrimp with noodles and it was appropriately seasoned with just enough heat. The noodles were firm and moist. Also the plantain topping was three FULL plantains! What?!! I think this might be my favorite new restaurant. "

"This is the only consistent jamaican food I've experienced. Always a hit and never a miss. The Ackee & Saltfish is fresh and doesnt have the canned taste whether they use it or not. The portions are always plentiful with anything i order, , and the patties are fresh unlike many places I've tried that seem heated up from another day. I love the Beef and cheese Patty . It's a little out the way for me but worth it. "
"Plenty of food for sure. The chicken was tender. I just did not like the taste of Curry Chicken, too bitter like maybe too much allspice or tumeric? The Cabbage mix was more like coleslaw style which I was not expecting. Overall a good value, just not my preference. Also wish these places would throw in a slice of bread or rotti."

"Big fan of west African food and was looking for something new to try. I judge Senegalese restaurants by their theibu jenn - which wasn't on the menu - but the Dibi Chicken and Macaroni and Cheese didnt disappoint! "Always delicious and authentic"
"So the roti appeared to have had no meat. I had two very small pieces of meat in my roti. The rest was broken up as though it was the bottom of the pan and they were trying to get meat to put into the roti. It was mainly potatoes in Channa. I was a little disappointed because I've eaten there before several times and when I go in you know you can see the chunks of meat that they give you so I'm not sure why they gave me the scrapers this time maybe because I DoorDash, but I don't think I will use them for DoorDash anymore because the portion was bad"

"Brown Stew Chicken Combo was great it just comes in the small container when you get the combo deal lol The Jerk Chicken Patty was tasteful it just wasn't enough meat in the inside. I ended up stuffing it with chicken smh. But I'll order from here again I just won't get the patty."
"The portion size of the $12-value meal Brown Stew Chicken Combo was about half the size of a regular order. That was fine given the price and enough for one person. However the taste was just ok. There wasn't enough gravy surrounding the chicken, the rice &beans was crispy and dry and lacked the usual coconut milk flavor. Even the side veggies lacked flavor. I will chalk this one up to a bad batch as this is a signature dish of this restaurant and generally delicious. Just not this time.
The coconut cake was ok."

"The Jerk Wing Bowl was amazing with so much flavor, 😍 this spot is my new favorite place. They are like no other Caribbean Place. My kids are hooked as well. NEW: Trini-style Beef pie was full of flavor and filled with savory meat. Both sauces are also a great addition."
"The Oxtail Bowl was pure yumminess & just the right amount for a late lunch! It was just the right amount of spicy as well. "Every time I have an “antojito,” a craving for mofongo, I hit up Mecho’s. I’ve had a lot of different mofongo dishes from various restaurants in the region, but Mecho’s is by far the most flavorful! And their Bandera plate always lasts for two meals. Love this spot!"
"Way too much plantains and barely any meat. I ordered the 2 meat Chicken Bandera and Goat Bandera: chicken and goat. They offered 1 chicken thigh and 2 very small pieces of meat. But I was charged for extra meat. If I hadn't of paid extra they would have given me one piece of chicken. . So they put extra plantains in my plantain so I would think it's chicken.

"Food was delicious as usual! 17. Buss Up Skin was flaky and light, 18. Dhal Puri was flavorful and the 1. Doubles were great. "
"My wife is Trini and so my in-laws are first generation Trinidadian immigrants who make some of the best Trini dishes I've ever had. So you can get imagine my excitement to learn that a restaurant serving authentic Trini food had returned to the area. My wife used to eat here when it was the original Teddy's and was also excited to have some good old home food. But I was extremely disappointed when I opened the container to see very small portions of oxtails and rice. The meat was tough and the sauce was very oily. Next I tried the doubles. The Chana had a very tasty sauce however they were a bit undercooked and hard. Not at all tender or creamy as I had expected. The curry chicken was lost in the sauce . Finally I got to the main event, the shark & 2. Fried Bake and Shark. It was dry and resembled minced shark not the filet that I was hoping to find. And lastly the bake itself was too hard and chewy. Overall I have to give it a 3 out of 5 forks, a hard pass but I would give Teddy's a second chance. Maybe it was just a one off and not typical of their quality. But the prices were very expensive considering the portion sizes. The meat dishes need more meat to be a decent value. Ultimately good flavors but mediocre presentation and preparation.
Ps. I didn't even get my 1. Sorrel. Bummer."

"This is my #1 go-to Jamaican restaurant and my favorite is their delicious Ackee and Codfish with boiled dumplings, yam, and boiled green bananas. As you can see from the pic you get a lot in the container. I get this meal sometimes twice per week. The customer service is A+++++*****. My favorite restaurant bar none in the DMV area."

"Good but we need 2 sauces for one burrito. One sauce isn't enough. The burrito is too big for one sauce and my burrito came with no sides"
"This is my second time ordering. I will say my first experience was way better in terms of texture. The rice in this bowl was gummy, broccoli was overcooked as well. The portion is definitely a good size! So I'm hopeful going forward that there's more consistency because the concept is so bomb and fresh!"

"The Curry Chicken was delicious. Good portion. The Jerk Chicken Only (Dark Meat) was a small portion nut very tasty. I never received my sorrell."
"This is NOT the picture of what was advertised. The picture on the menu was a healthy portion of white and dark chopped chicken. A quarter of chicken on the bone is not what we ordered. This was extremely misleading. Not to mention the cost charged for a quarter of chicken is unreasonable."

"The food was SOOOOO good! 😩🔥 I’m so happy there’s finally a Haitian spot in town with food that actually tastes like home. Usually, I feel like I have to go all the way to New York or Miami to get good, authentic Haitian food, but not anymore! 😂🙌🏾 The griot was delicious, the legume was flavorful, and the pikliz had the perfect kick. Everything tasted fresh, seasoned, and like a real home-cooked meal. I’m definitely happy I found this spot and will absolutely be ordering again. 10/10! 🇭🇹🔥🤤"
"Listen,
I don't know who was in the kitchen today - but I can assure you, they came to COOK. That Griot (Fried Pork) was so RIGHT: hard outside with a tender center. I usually dont eat the fat on the griot...I definitely ate the fat today 😅, it was too good to pass up.The black rice, I mean black was so dee the rice looked shiny the green peas was Chef's kiss. Thank you for a wonderful, home-cooked meal 🙏🏿"

"It's hard to find authentic, great tasting Dominican or Puerto Rican food in the DMV. This place is a hit! I'll continue to order. The rice is fire, pernil was perfect as well as the chicken. 10 outta 10! "
"I'm not sure what happened today but the food was terrible. The containers are getting smaller and smaller for the price. The beans were watery. The rice was undercooked. There was barely any meat in the stew. I counted 3 pieces of meat in my stew. Three. These were the scraps at the bottom of the bucket. All of the containers came half full. Waste of money."

"I will always continue to order from this location. They follow order notes perfectly. The taste of all of their food is delicious!! The Quarter White Chicken is always well seasoned and juicy. Everything is so fresh! Today was my first time trying the Carne Asada and I was blown away!! The mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese are well made. I read reviews regarding the "soupiness" etc. But all it needs is a little salt and pepper, then it's perfect! I actually like my Mac and cheese the way it is prepared at this location. I have ZERO COMPLAINTS!! Thank you Super RICO!!! My family loves your food!!"
"Their food is so good. The restaurant is spotless, and the staff is friendly. The chicken is flavorful, the Yucca Fries are fluffy, the steak The Quesadilla is full of meat and cheese...but the star of the show for me are those Brussel Sprouts & Carrots! They have me in a chokehold. I am still working my way through the menu, but everything I have had so far keeps me coming back."
