The sabik was just eggplant, without the eggs and other stuff that normally goes into sabik, and it was small slices lightly fried or grilled. The rice&lentils was very strongly flavored. The Moroccan carrot salad was both sweeter and more bitter than I expected, less sour, and completely without the usual cumin-based spice taste. The pita was warm and fluffy, with an edge that was almost like a good pizza crust. I was a little disappointed in the carrots, but everything else, I was happy with it being different from the usual (especially now that there are 69105 restaurants, stands, virtual kitchens, etc. all selling the same usual…).
Also, the portions of chicken and eggplant were pretty large, and everything else was huge (including the pita). And the prices weren't bad, especially with the discount deal.
This isn't going to become my go-to shawarma place, but I'm pretty sure I will come back."
