"Great place, Great prices, Great portions. The Daal was so good and actually spicy, they sent sauces with the papadum and allot of places don't do that over door dash. My new favorite indian spot"
"The paneer masala was completely tasteless and had no salt at all. It was very simple and extremely oily. The packaging was also very poor—the container was leaking, and the food spilled all over the bag.
On top of that, the food was not properly cooked. Some of the garlic naan was overcooked, while another piece was completely raw. Overall, the quality was very disappointing. The food was tasteless, poorly prepared, and very expensive for what was provided. Definitely not worth the price."

"First of all, their behavior with customers is incredibly charming. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The quality of their food is unbeatable. Their food is so good. It is clean and the price of their food is very low compared to other restaurants. You get a lot of food for a small amount of money.I request those of you who are reading these comments of mine to not just take my word for it, but to place an order and see for yourself, then you will understand how good the quality of the food is.I wish this restaurant a bright future. I believe if they continue this food quality then their restaurant will be profitable one day.I don't know who made my meal, but I want to thank him for giving me such a beautiful meal. Thank you again 💟"
"This used to be our go too for fantastic Indian food. Tonight my food arrived swimming in grease and oil - so much so we couldn't eat it.
Also the Raita was like water , in fact inedible also...
I called the Clove Garden and they confirmed they are under new ownership for the last month - so if you were a fan before be careful we were very disappointed and wont be back again.
Sad as this restaurant used to have the highest standards"

"The Chana Saag is absolutely the best & the Vegetable Spring Rolls are so good! They usually give a small portion of rice with the saag so I always have to make more of my own or buy their side of rice but it would be nice if it came with an appropriate portion of rice for how big the entree is. But even still, their food is the best Indian food I've had!"
"I used to order from here all the time bc their Plain Naan is good. But tonight that was the only good part of my meal. The Veg Samosas were so tiny I used to eat only one and save the rest for lunch the next day but today they are half the size they used to be. The chicken vindaloo was closer to ketchup and franks red hot sauce than any actual Indian spices. The potatoes in the vindaloo were perfect circles as if they were out of a can. And the chicken was really fatty dark meat, all this for $40. I want the best for this place but today was not it."

"As someone from out of town, I had trouble deciding where to order from and ultimately ended up going with Indian Xpress and I am SO glad I did. My Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan were sooooo incredibly delicious. I genuinely cannot rave about it enough. 10/10 recommend!! "
"The butter chicken was very oily, you only get one piece of garlic naan per $5.35 order, the spicy wasnt actually spicy, and each entre dish is very small for being $20+ dollars each. Not impressed, borderline disappointing. "

However, I do appreciate how consistent they are. The items all taste great. Solid choice if you don't mind paying a bit more for a little less food."

"The Lamb Makhani (Butter Lamb) is astounding. The lamb is super tender and every bite is just a flavor bomb in your mouth. I also love that you can personalize the spice level, as I prefer it spicy and most places don't offer the choice when ordering online. Also love that when my food arrived (it was far so took a good chunk of time) it was piping hot! I will definitely order again."
"The Chicken Tikka Masala was awful, it was watered down as if they accidentally poured a lot of water into the dish. The sauce was extremely thin and flavorless, the chicken was dry. I tried my best but it was just pointless to chew on tough and tasteless food, I threw it in the trash sadly. Never in my life did I think I would say Indian food had No flavor, so disappointed in Begum.
The dish did not come with rice, I had to order it separately, which is normally not a problem, but the other two dishes ordered came with rice and the rice portion with those was twice the size of the tiny $7 side of rice!
The second worst dish was the Shrimp Coconut. This dish was also very thin / watered down. We did not have to throw this one away, but better quality was still expected.
I ordered from Begum years ago when a friend lived in Chatham, it was so very good. The sauces I remember were rich and flavorful, the meat was never tough.
After this experience, I can't trust to order from here again :/"

Their Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala (Neelam Special), Butter Chicken (Chicken Makhni), and both the vegetable and meat samosas are awesome!"

"This was my first time ordering here. Recommended by an Indian neighbor attesting to its authenticity. The Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Sheekh Kabob, Goat Bhunnah and Rice Pudding (dessert) were all delicious. Plenty of rice for a family of 6. I had ordered extra rice (only $3) but not necessary. The traditional Naan and garlic Naan are both delicious and moist, and you can tell they're fresh baked."
" 1. Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is good but the order is almost all sauce, no chicken. And only one serving of rice came with two orders of CTM. Luckily I had some rice and chicken in the fridge. Cut up two breasts and added to the abundant sauce. Hey Red Pepper, how bout adding another thigh or something, it won't ruin your profit on $19 CTM!"

"The dal was AMAZING! Spicy, flavorful and creamy. That dish was the highlight. The Paneer Tikka was very good as well, although I would have liked more vegetables in the dish. The pepper in the Black Pepper Chicken hit my black pepper itch, but lost its crispiness between to-go travel and the sauce. Still a delicious meal. We will certainly order again!"

"The Butter Chicken was really tender. The Lamb Samosa were huge and filling. The Virgin Colada was tasty. The Onion Rings were good also. The portions were very generous. My go to for a weekend in and I just don't feel like cooking. "
"Lamb Vindaloo was tender and delicious. Chose the hot level cause I'm a spicy guy and it was perfect, had me feeling it but not on my death bed.
Cheese Garlic Naan was phenomenal really could taste the chunks of garlic in there. No notes.
Chatni Sabzi Platter was good, got to try a few different apps and I'm a sucker for samosas so I was happy.
Kalmi Kabab was good, nice flavor with a good char but maybe a little too much other than that was good.
Good portion sizes for the price, will be back soon."

"always great, good portions, ready quickly. thumbs-up"
"I have been an avid Aroma supporter for years. This restaurant has changed cooks so many times and the flavors and tastes keep changing with it. This last order was the worst, it was so bland and was filled with heavy cream. I keep trying to support this local business, but the change in recipes, flavor, and portion size has deviated too much from what it used to be. "

"This is the best Goat Paya you can get in Edison/central jersey."
"Never ever ordr Gajar Halwa from this place as they charge high price but give only half full 8oz container but the menu picture shows 16 oz container. If you are looking to order Aloo Paratha or Lacha Paratha then I highly recommend because they prepare itin the restaurant and don't use frozen parathas like some other restaurants.Chicken Biryani and Chicken Chicken Achari are mediocre. Kachumber Raita is also good."

"This might be the best pizza I have had in a long time. It was a flavor bomb, and hope your team makes it the exact same way next time I order!"
"I was looking for authentic Indian taste and was extremely disappointed! I ordered so much food and unfortunately had to throw away most of it. Don't experiment so much with the dishes that they lose their identity!
New Delhi Paneer Makhini was extremely sour and paneer was hard.
Punjabi Chana Masala was also too sour and did not represent authentic taste.
Butter Chicken Wings smelled bad as if not cooked properly."

"The Chicken Seekh Kabab (4 Pcs) was amazing! So juicy and tender, definitely recommend ordering it. The Chicken Biryani was also amazing. They added lots of chicken so I would've preferred more rice.
Only thing that was a let down was the Garlic Naan because it had gotten hard and tough to chew by the time I got it. Probably because it was made fresh and then cooled down in the foil.
Delivery was quick and overall a great experience. 10/10, will be coming back! "
"The Beef Behari was cooked to perfection and so tasty and the bbq Mix Grill was absolutely perfect. But the naan was very very dense and hard to chew. It hurt our jaw it was so dense. We eat at tabaq regularly and are happy with the food. The naan needs to be softer it's not consistent."

"The Gobi Manchurian was really good! I've had multiple items from their menu so far, including the Chicken 65, the dum biryani, and the fried rice, and they're all really good with enough quantity to last me two meals. Can't complain!"
