"First time ordering but I had eaten at Slow's at Ford Field before. Overall I was pleased but I never received my Cole slaw and there was a misunderstanding with the chicken. I thought the chicken was normal pieces of chicken not pulled. (It is pulled). I was disappointed in that and it wasn't that great. The beans were extremely flavorful and delicious with pieces of meat in it. The cornbread was also disappointing. Didn't taste homemade. Now the brisket was SUPERB which is why I gave a thumbs up on the restaurant. The waffle fries were good as well. Not sure if I would order again when there are other BBQ places that are closer to me that are actually better overall."

The cornbread was dry and tasteless, and the Sweet Mash potatoes were very salty, I couldn't even eat them. I'm trying to figure out why that much salt is even in sweet potatoes. "So, this late night dinner was right-on-time. From the first bite of barbecue chicken, tender ribs the barbecue sauce was not too heavy. The macaroni with corn and diced jalapeños was also tasty but light and I couldn't stop eating the baked beans with the bacon nice and thick cut with a tangy sauce hmmmm...Delicious. If you're used to American Chinese food, then know that this will be much different; it's not a particularly crispy dish and the flavor profile is quite traditional. Expect it to be very heavy on the msg. I was pleased at the inclusion of Sichuan peppercorns, which add an upfront and unique dimension to this dish. The aromatics were a little overdone, but I can excuse that. The Wok Hei alone is evidence that this establishment employs highly skilled chefs. "I got the two-piece white chicken meal, with Shack potatoes, and added a side of cole slaw. Although a little pricey, I really loved it. Slaw was a bit sweet for me. but still good, and most reviewers seem to like it that way. I really appreciated that you sent it in a separate bag so that it didn't get warmed by the chicken and potatoes, which arrived nice and warm. And after all, what good is friend chicken without slaw. Potatoes also were delish. Chicken, too, very good, but a little too much breading for me. It was, however, cooked perfectly, nice and crunchy on the outside, juicy chicken. Yum. I just try to avoid fried foods but do splurge every so often. So, I didn't eat most of the coating, but did sneak some, so good. Also, potatoes, perfectly cooked and such a generous portion that I couldn't finish them all. II am a rather light eater, so even have a bit of chicken breast left over for a little snack later on or tomorrow.
Shack chicken and sides are the best. I plan to have a picnic for kids and grandkids soon. I'm going to get plenty of chicken, potatoes, and slaw, and will add some ribs. I haven't tried them yet but will get them the next time I order from you. I hope they are as good as everything else.
