Diner turkey is "supposed" to be a little dry, maybe smothered in gravy until you forget that it's that dry. That is 100% -not- what I got. The Roasted Turkey entree punched way above its weight- it was juicy, the gravy was delicious, and the sides were prepared perfectly.

"So this will be a slight comparison since most everyone knows about North Shore. This plate was delicious and I will definitely be back. The meat quality on this plate was better, in my opinion. First of all, they have Kalbi ribs. I love that they have those. They had a ton of meat on them with no gristle and not a lot of fat. The chicken is sliced into bigger chunks (Not shredded like NS), so the chicken was juicy and not dried out. Both the ribs and chicken tasted like they were grilled. They both were absolutely delicious. I like this Kahlua pork better also. It was also juicy and not dried out. The flavor was better. Sometimes the other place's pork can be overly salty. I know Kahlua pig has a lot of salt but the salt ratio with Island Eatz is better. The rice is rice across the board. I like the mac salad but I do prefer NS slightly more. I would eat both with no problem though. I also prefer NS teriyaki sauce a little more. Teriyaki is a weird one for me. Sometimes it can be too pungent (If that makes sense) or too much ginger or too acidic on the tongue. Island Eatz sauce is very good, but NS is a little better.
Overall, I think I would hit Island Eatz more just because the flavor and quality of the meat is better. OH! And that $20 I paid for the plate of everything? Worth it. You get lots of food. It was packed. Thank you!

"the Giant number 7 was outstanding! the only thing I would change would be I would add a lot more lettuce and triple the amount of onions. on the East Coast we slice the onions first a day or two before using them so that they have time to season themselves. so if you do that with these sandwiches they will taste just like home. the rolls taste exactly like an East Coast hoagie roll should taste like except the firmness of it is a little bit different from the East Coast as well but that's because of the water out here. again it is a terrific sandwich and worth the money especially if you want to feed two people! we even had leftovers! and doordash is the most professional delivery service I've dealt with and as much better than Uber at any time I've ever used them as every driver is professional and on time and to this day I still have not had an order go late! highly recommend this store and highly recommend doordash no matter where you are.
